These are from the last week and a half... The top one: Mr T found the most perfect place for us to stay while in Boulder; there were horses, chickens and dogs, views of mountains and the host made us muffins in the mornings. It was the best place to get my mind right days before the race. The second/third/fourth... AKA before, during and after... He said everything I needed to hear. He was in the right place at the right time. He held me when I only had tears and no words to speak. He held me and said to me, “You did it. You did it. I’m so proud of you. You did it.” I waited so long for THAT hug. I envisioned that hug on long training days, when things got hard and I wanted to quit... that hug kept me going. He made a lot of sacrifices and he never once discouraged me from quitting. He has always been a solid ground to stand on. He is everything. The fifth and sixth... the days after, we had guilt free fun in Boulder. “Want another old fashion?” SURE. “Should we get a flight of ice cream?” ABSOLUTELY. The morning we came back to Texas, he packed up the entire car, woke me up last minute and already had a blanket and pillow waiting in the passenger seat for me. Before taking off, my eyes were already closed again, he leans over, kisses my forehead and says “Girl, you left Texas for something. And you came back with it.” My heart. The seventh... we’re home. We hosted a party this past weekend with old college friends. Lanny wore his Support Crew shirt and made sure everyone knew it if they didn’t notice on their own. We’re finding a new system at home. Focusing on our house and focusing on each other. And sleep. We’re sleeping A LOT. Mr T, you still read this? Maybe not. But I love you. You’re the best of the best. The glue that holds me together. Thank you for all that you’ve done. Thank you for all that you do. And for everything I know you’ll continue to do. I love you.
“Welcome to the FAHC Support, please tell us you’re not Gavin and please for the love of god, don’t say you’re dead.”

Ready to support my kickass friend @this-incredible-journey at Ironman AZ 70.3!! I'm volunteering at a run station. Should be a fun filled day. I might even try to spank a few cute triathlete butts as they run through my aid station. 😜👍🏼 I'll keep the race updates coming. Ms E is in great spirits. She's gonna rock it!
