You know what I hate. People who claim to care about children and protecting children from being abused when they really just want to be the thought police and cosplay 1984. Over here clutching thier pearls with a new skin over it "Oh you can't read/watch/ship that because it's demonic- I mean problematic". It's using children as a tool for enforcing moral conformity when morality is, philosophicaly, subjective. Instead of going online and harassing people who ship incest or something you deem as "problematic" for any number of subjective or objective reasons. Actually pit effort into helping victims, donate to RAINN or the center for missing and exploited children. Or any of the dozens of organizations dedicated to helping real victims and preventing others from the same. Going on the internet and crying about how Ao3 shouldn't exist because of stories people wrote about fucking pixels isint helping real victims. In no way did anyone complaining about hentai or ao3 help or prevent me from getting sexualy abused. All it did was make the depiction of something that happened to children every day that much more taboo to speak about, you know how I realized I was being groomed? A fucking fanfic I read at 13. Making these topics taboo makes it that much harder for people to learn about it.
