MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS I see the grid as a predominately female led community who are openly talking about their experience with mental health if it be PND, anxiety, depression this is an amazing thing and wish I had, had a platform like this when I had my babies but there is an epidemic happening in this country and we all need to be talking about. Are you aware that the biggest killer in this country for men under 50 is? Cancer? Heart disease? No it’s themselves, it’s suicide. 84 men commit suicide every week ! Suicide figures have been growing decade by decade.men are always put in a box that they are the alphas who have to be strong for their women and families, who go for a drink with their mates but could never say lads I am depressed . I see amazing men finding the strength to speak up like @daddy_dilemmas Gary who has shown such bravery. We know there needs to be more@mental health funding, Men need to be able to allow themselves to find their identity within the world to be able to be emotionally open with ridicule and being allowed to feel able to ask for help we have moved on since the eighties when frank Bruno was diagnosed with depression and the headline was Bonkers Bruno. The charity #Calm are doing some amazing work including the #project84campaign. So know we need to start encouraging our men to talk about their feelings, teaching our boys it’s ok to be open up about their emotions it’s time for change and that time is now. #mensmentalhealth #suicideprevention #allowourmentotalk #maledepressionawareness #menneedlovetoo #nomorestigmatomentalhealth #84 #supportmaledepression #mumblogger #instagramers
