SCRIPTURE:

Supposing that He was among their band of travelers, they journeyed on for a full day while looking for Him among their family and friends.  When they didn’t find Jesus, they returned to Jerusalem to look for Him. ~ Luke 2:44-45

OBSERVATION:

When I don't see Jesus - don't find Him - in my day-to-day journey, am I looking for Him in the right place(s)?

...among the right folks?

...do I consider it's my "supposing He [is] among [my] band of travelers" and keep going my/our way...

...while still trying to find Him on myjourney...

...instead of stopping and returning to where I last saw Him and felt His presence?

APPLICATION:

Stop going my way...

Return "...to Jerusalem to look for Him..."

PRAYER: 

Patient loving Father God - I ask Your forgiveness for the number of times I go my own willful, selfish, and distracted way, assuming Your will and purpose are somewhere in my wandering, instead of stopping and returning to Your Word and presence... Please redirect my steps the instant I notice I'm going my own way instead of following Yours - In Jesus's Name and example, and for Your great glory, praise, and honor in all things..
