Okay, I only read like part of this in the chat, but then that same night, I watched the movie again of Little Shop because I love it so much, totally holds the test of time with all the awesome practical effects and great music. So many cameos too!
But aha, so Barry in this idea here would still be The Flash somehow, that makes it different.
So imagine Len isn’t an alien in this, but Barry, who works at a flower shop around various chemicals, got struck by lightning one night and was given his speed, but that same lightning and chemical splash affected a nearby Venus fly trap.
Barry is busy trying to help out his neighborhood as The Flash with his new powers, but he’s still running the shop, still pining for Iris who’s in love with Eddie, while tending to his favorite little plant that is finally thriving.
He keeps the plant by his bed rather than display it upstairs, so it never has the whole famous element, where people come into the shop because of it. The shop is doing fine, it’s more that Barry is lonely. Maybe he owns it from his parents, and runs it mostly alone with just a few workers.
So he lives there too, either in the basement or in an upstairs apartment, and one night, as his favorite plant Lenny is wilting for the first time after having that growth spurt, he’s jerking off to fantasies in his head of women and men he wishes he had any sort of chance with, but the only confidence he’s ever had is when he’s The Flash, and he can’t show anyone his face as a hero.
He’s distracted when he comes and doesn’t realize that a little gets on Lenny until it’s too late. He feels terrible, always talks to Lenny as if he’s alive anyway, and goes to clean him off but then…can’t find any speckles like he expected. Maybe he was wrong. He goes to sleep and wakes up the next morning to find Lenny twice the size.
Barry feels super weird when he actually comes on the plant on purpose that night, but he’s a scientist deep down, he just wants to experiment and figure out if he’s crazy. Lenny is even bigger the next night. The one thing Barry will not do is actually…no, no, no, not even when the mouth of the fly trap turns his direction as if wanting a taste. That would be going way too far—and dangerous!
But one night, after Barry has been feeding Lenny this way for some time, the plant has gotten so large that it opens up to reveal a gorgeous man inside as the plant part falls away limp and the man stalks naked over to Barry on the bed and begs to be allowed to take Barry into his mouth.
Clearly, Barry has lost his mind now, the lightning fried his brain, but if he has to be mad, he might as well enjoy himself. And Lenny has such an amazing voice and face and—fuck—mouth, that he can’t say no.
