Trick or treat 😈 what's one nice thing that happened to you this month, and what's something this year that bamboozled you?

happy (late) halloween, anon! :D those are lovely questions!

i think the nicest thing that happened to me in october was that i got to see my very dear friend on stage in a performance that made me cry like a baby. 10/10 highly recommend staring at your friends making art like you're maybe seeing god.

a pretty bamboozling occurrence this year was one particular day spent with cat @starkey, who suggested after we'd hung out in an extremely suspicious and very beautiful mossy grove in the fairy glen that a good place to have dinner might be this vegetarian restaurant she'd heard about. the restaurant was a tiny tiny house on a hill in the middle of nowhere, the food tasted one hundred per cent as if fairies had made it, the only drinks served were teas specifically paired with each course, the chef sporadically came out to tell us the lore? literally the actual magical lore? about some of the ingredients she used, she then gave us meadowsweet to take home that she'd foraged herself, and i'm decently sure that if i tried to return to the restaurant it'd be gone. it was the best meal i've ever had.

#it's hard to convey how strange this meal really was. the ice cream in my dessert made me genuinely emotional like i felt that in my heart #they only serve maybe 5 tables? the restaurant space is no bigger than the average living room?#art nouveau tapestries everywhere and soft celtic chants playing. chef was definitely a Wise Woman of some sort. baffling and wonderful #all this happening after we'd discussed in the fairy glen that maybe we were in the process of being enchanted/led astray by the fair folk #sure was something #thank you anon! this cheered me up a lot :'))#asks #anon

...actually knowing the leak while watching was a special experience too.

I’m watching the show, enjoying myself, a little mystery and a lot of romantic comedy, not a lot of big stakes for me but no biggie, oh wait I’m already beginning the last episode ? with no real conflict or big disagreement between Crowley and Aziraphale in the present ?

*sigh* we’re gonna have the 2/3rd misunderstanding-based breakup aren’t we ? Well I better prepare myself. Ah ah, tropes. I know them and I’m already so blasé about this.

Later in the episode:

*the conflict starts, Aziraphale is back to his old toxic views as soon as heaven gives him a crumb of praise.
