Eurovision Fact #308:
In 2018, UK representative SuRie's performance was interrupted by a stage invader who grabbed her mic and shouted "For the Nazis of the UK media, we demand freedom!" SuRie was given the opportunity to perform once more, but she declined, saying she was proud of the performance she gave.
The artist later stated that she was bruised on her hand when the man grabbed the microphone from her and on the shoulder when he bumped into her.
The stage invasion was cut from the official DVD and the YouTube upload of the contest. SuRie's performance is replaced by the jury show version of her song.
