My personal headcanon is that the Doctor doesn't even know what sex *is*. Not because they never learned, but because they keep immediately deleting the information from their brain whenever they accidentally gain that knowledge. They'll gladly recite all sorts of trivia about mating rituals, gestation/incubation periods, and child rearing for basically any species you can name, but that one little detail just keeps going missing.

All innuendos are said completely literally. All the Doctor's biological children were the result of a drunken weekend in a cloning lab with a few close friends. All other children were gifted, borrowed, or stolen. I say this as an asexual who wishes that were me
