inspired by my scprez! sunday x delinquent reader series that i’ve been working on and an au that i wished to bring to life in the form of a suvana piece….. so brilliantly brought to life 😪🌷
So Sunday casts his attention back to his own work following a few moments of peaceful silence, deciding it’s best to savour these fleeting moments without you tormenting him to catch up on his own studies. Not that he’s falling behind, but he prefers to stay ahead.
So he does. He tries. He jots down a few more notes into his neatly arranged journal, his handwriting a stretch of beautifully crafted calligraphy that you had also poked fun at. Followed closely by you poking fun at his sweater, then his ear feathers, then just about anything else that you casted your gaze at…
Even the memory of your voice makes him seethe.
Sunday cannot focus like this.
As he recalls back on the relentless teasing that he endures by you, he finds himself whipping his head back to look at you again. Glaring once more. Feathers all bent out of shape and puffed out like he’s finally going to snap and give you a piece of his mind like he would have long ago if he didn’t have so much to lose.
Not that the student body would see it as anything more than a long time coming.
But then Sunday looks at you. Again. And he thinks you look different.
You’ve rolled yourself over slightly from where you’re resting on the desk, revealing more of your relaxed features as you continue to sleep soundly by his side. Your face is missing the usual smirk that adorns it and instead of the fluttering lashes he’s used to as a means to tease him, they rest softly on the apples of your cheeks.
He doesn’t think he’s ever seen you look so…. gentle. No— there’s absolutely nothing gentle about you. At peace, maybe — for lack of a better term anyway.
