Ranking the 501st (+ Obi-wan) on spice tolerance

1. AHSOKA demolishes everyone when it comes to spice. Shes not like Anakin- who just eats everything in sight (she has standards) but spice has never been an issue. She lives for that shit

2. FIVES has managed to build up a tolerance over time and rigorous training purely for the satisfaction of being the best at handling it. And when he has the opportunity to show it off, he REALLY doesn’t shut up.

3. ANAKIN just eats anything. And we all know that tattooine has some spicy ass food. He never really complains about anything he eats, and tries not to boast about his spice tolerance, but can’t help smirking when obi-wan is nearing tears over chilli peppers.

4. JESSE has a pretty good tolerance. Maybe slightly above average, but always pushes himself WAYY too far in the spirit of competition and ends up with a stomach ache.

5. DOGMA refuses to participate in any sort of competition, but secretly laughs at Rex for how poor his tolerance is.

6. HARDCASE once didnt wash his hands after eating something spicy, rubbed it in his eye, and hasn’t forgotten. He still swears he was blind for a good 12 hours.

7. OBI-WAN has pretty atrocious spice tolerance. There have been many an occasion on diplomatic missions where out of respect he has been forced to eat something dangerously spicy and almost died. He gets really red in the face.

8. REX.

Apologies if I've said this before, Rex is the oldest. That idea that Fox pulled him out of the trash? That's right, Fox pulled an older cadet out of the trash, not a baby. Also just- I like the idea that there were CT's before there was the command batch. If you need a good reason, consider that the Kaminoan's wanted to ingrain the idea that the commander's authority and skill didn't come from age, but rather from training and experience. Authority isn't something you're given from seniority alone, it is something earned and something that can be taken away. Yes, Fox is the youngest Commander on Coruscant, including Thire.

Does anyone want to tell me their favorite - or their most recent - nitpicky logistical headcanon for something in the gffa? I am talking EXTREMELY nitpicky. Like I fucking love when people come up with long convoluted explanations for why building materials are shaped that way, or how dishes get washed, or how instruments work, or why flora and fauna look like that, or what health codes are in a particular place. When you aren’t agonizing over finding The One Real Explanation it can be so much fun just to suppose. To conjecture. Spitball. Brainstorm. and so on.

hc anakin has dark skin and his hair is force osik and on tattooine, the lars are like "luke is normal but light haired child >v<!!" and on alderaan wildly varying rescessive genes are common so its like "oh the child came out adnormally dark/light? eh, its just great great grandpa's mother's gene because her parents from [wherever]"

Where's that fucking post talking about how Han Solo isnt as cool as he wants us (the audience) to believe and that Luke is actually pretty sturdy in a crisis from the very start of A New Hope and uses the prison control room as an example where Han panics and blasts the panels vs Luke who immediately starts pulling out numbers to bluff, bc I've been spinning it in my brain like a donner spit and finally hit the nail on why (to me) their approaches are so Like That and at first I was thinking it to be about how much trouble they got in as kids what with Han being a Corellian orphan vs Luke always wanting to adventure, but I realised its not about the amount of trouble they get into at all, it's their reaction to the trouble

Han would always be running from one place to the next, presumably not wanting to be caught as a kid and then growing up into a smuggler (we're making no comments on his occupation) and the man has run away from debts for whatever reason to the point of carbonite whereas Luke simply could not run away. Disregarding his guilted obligation to remain and help out on the farm, he knew anything that he couldnt be punished for would likely be taken out on Beru and Owen - like it was when the droids couldn't be found by stormtroopers, although they'd have been killed anyway since it was more about the droids than Luke's actions in particular that time. He likely never had the real choice to run away from potential consequences if he got caught so he had to get good at bluffing, at lying, at charming his way out of trouble so he could get home without consequences following him

And this is just talking immediate family, not friends and acquaintances who might be impacted by their choices, but Han is largely alone in that sense and not necessarily around them often even if not whereas for Luke they are right there

That's why Han's first reaction in the death star control room was to shoot the thing and Luke initially had them believing him, although I'm sure the force helped subconsciously
