x Bonus: Sterek Week Playlists

This year we wanted to find a way to involve the entire community and what we came up with was this! Using this link, submit your song ideas that fit each of this years themes and we will add it into our own going playlists.

Please make sure you list the song title and artist, especially if the version you are thinking isn't the original. Don't feel like you have to include a song for every theme and also feel free to include multiple songs per theme!

We hope to see a wide variety of songs! Please feel free to include suggestions in other languages or things you think only "fit a little bit". We want to see it all! Swearing and darker themes are fine, but we want to be inclusive to all so please do not include anything offensive. Please note that the admins do listen to each song before adding it to the playlist, so we do have the right to veto any songs deemed offensive.

That being said, here are the links to each themes playlist for your listening pleasure! As of right now, your admins have started with a selection of songs for each theme, but we cannot wait to add all of yours!

x Bonus: Word Prompts & Color Palettes

We're just about a month away from the start of Sterek Week '23 on the 25th of October! We've previously posted some of the bonus content that we're planning for this year's Sterek Week, and now we bring you some more: word prompts and color palettes!

Participating in Sterek Week can sometimes be a daunting task, especially for those who are new to the event or who don't have much time to invest in it but still want to join in the fun. Part of the problem can sometimes be coming up with inspiration for something, so we've added word prompts and color palettes on the bonus content pages for each of the theme days, which you can find linked here:

Word Prompts

Though word prompts are usually associated with fiction, this doesn't necessarily have to be the case and the prompts can be used for art or anything else you like. The prompts are presented in a word block which means whatever words emerge from the letter soup and catches your eye is what you can use.

While there are specific prompts in the word blocks, there are no right or wrong words to pick. You can use as many of the words as you see fit or ignore them all together. The word block has between fifteen and twenty intentional words hidden away, with some more to be found if you're creative...

Regarding Fics

If you're having trouble deciding how much you want to write, try limiting yourself to 250 words, 500 words or 1000 words. Pick one of these three, stare into the word block for a while, and go with what your imagination brings you.

Color Palettes

Usually color palettes are intended to be used with art or graphics, but like the word prompts, they can be used for anything you like. There are six color palettes per theme, each with a title that you can use to inspire you if you want. The color palettes all link to a color-hex.com page that contains hex codes and RGB values for those of you who use image editors.

We'd love to see more Sterek art, graphics and edits, but we know these are time consuming creations to make. But even a quick little doodle or a fast cut-n-paste edit can light up someone's day, so don't be afraid to participate if you think you're not "up to scratch"... you most certainly are! We don't require perfection, only that you enjoy what you create.
