Finally...month finished!
I wanted to end with something moving, worthy of the theme, and the idea of them formalizing their relationship was, in my eyes, what best represented the feeling of happiness.
Danny, after a conversation with his dad, happily agreed to make a ring for Dash this time, which Danny deeply appreciated. He wanted it be special, maybe not what everyone expected, but he doesn't care, this is what he wants, and he'll fight for what his heart tells him.
And Dash... finally found what he was looking for. Someone to love. Someone who believed in him. And someone who wanted to stay by his side no matter what. For the first time in his life, he wasn't afraid of the future. He no longer saw it as a desperate void filled with pain and insecurity. He saw it with hope, as a new opportunity to be revived, to improve, to spend time with his friends, and to live alongside the boy he loved most.
It felt unfair to just give him his jacket, even if it was also an act of formalization. He felt it was insufficient. HE WANTED TO GIVE HIM THE WHOLE WORLD, and give him back all the happiness he had given him, perhaps he couldn't now, but he promised himself that one day he would, and when that day came, he would be the one giving the ring this time!
Damn, I got tooooo romantic, but im in my right, okay!? It's Valentine's Day, and these two fill me with so much happiness. 💕
