Great Horned Owls have very powerful talons and can exert 400 pounds of pressure per square inch. That’s four times the strength of the adult human jaw. Great Horned Owls are also monogamous and often mate for life, remaining on the same territory year-round. They're very territorial and will attack even humans if someone is too close to their nest.
