How do people’s personality’s change in the Swap AU?
I feel like their personalities would still kiiiinda be the same- since they’re still the characters we know and love, but let me lay out a few differences in personalities I had in mind:
Swap!Henry: Canon!William hides behind a personality facade, Swap!Henry hides behind his work. How can someone who makes so many great things be bad? It’s like being told Walt Disney is a murderer- one just wouldn’t believe it! Swap!Henry is incredibly obsessed in his work, it eats him alive if he cant make something perfect- something’s always missing, missing, it’s never right, it’s always wrong- One night he makes the fatal mistake of kidnapping Michael, and realizes his robots can be made perfect... with a human soul. It’s then he reaches the point of no return- his life revolving around his creations.
Swap!William: [suicide tw for this one: read at your own risk] He is... quiet. He was never very good with people throughout his life, and was so worried about having kids because what if he was a bad father? His anxieties are eased for a few years, with his children seeming to be doing okay... and then Michael and CC are killed. Will... bottles up. He locked himself up in grief and doesnt know how to cope. It’s then his Wife takes Lizzie and moves away for a few years. William keeps maintenance on his sons... he just feels obligated to, even if it’s not really them. He becomes extremely self destructive and continues to bottle everything up instead of getting the help he needs. He was very close to just ending it all, but then Elizabeth comes back to Hurricane. ... Will then learns he can channel his grief over his sons into stopping Henry and saving all of those poor kids.
Swap!Michael/Mari!Michael: Very similar to my Michael, though more childish. He was a normal kid before he got killed, and lives a pretty blissful ignorance as Marionette. He still goes by his programming though, so he physically cannot comprehend why Henry would be a bad person. Though, there are occasions when Michael’s soul overrides the Marionette’s programming. He sings often, music is a huge part of his programming and he has a lovely voice, though the music box still lulls him to sleep(Will made the music box to ease his suffering). Unlike the other animatronics, he does not try to murder the night guard, though Michael’s soul breaking through may lead someone to think he’s dangerous. ... Still gay as ever.
Swap!Elizabeth: The Femme lesbeab. She’s very loud and imaginative, a true extrovert... though becomes more reclusive and somber at the deaths of her brothers. When she moves away from hurricane, she tries to build a new life for herself- even becoming quite popular and excelling in school. But... something just isn’t right. So after she graduates high school and hits 18, she decides to move back to Hurricane(against her mother’s wishes) and stay with her father to try and get closure for everything- and then realizes who the real villain has been this whole time and vows to help Charlie and Will.
Swap!CC: Much more of an extrovert and sports-fanatic than canon!CC, and not really much of a crybaby(still cries plenty, but that’s normal for kids). He’s best on his soccer team and has his whole life ahead of him... and then gets kidnapped/killed by Funtime Freddy(a setup by Swap!Henry). His soul merges with the AI much like Michael, and he often is too dissociative to understand what is going on during the events of SL- it is the AI that forms Ennard and scoops Charlie. After Charlie’s scoopage, CC suddenly becomes much more aware of what’s going on, and continually protests using his friend like this- eventually Ennard snaps and kicks CC out, so CC becomes Scrap Freddy(who I still need to design aaaa!!!). He’s only trying to do the right thing!!!
Swap!Charlie: The Butch lesbeab. A bit loud and full of herself as a kid, but after 83 understandably becomes much quieter and reserved. She has a lot of self-loathing over a mere accident... but vows to make up for everything. She is introverted and doesnt talk much, but is extremely intelligent- proving herself extremely competent in SL... but still gets scooped. She is self conscious of the whole zombie thing, understandably, but that isn’t stopping her from doing the right thing and stopping her Dad. For Sammy’s sake.
Swap!Sammy: More of a crybaby. After Michael goes missing Sammy becomes more and more afraid of the animatronics- until one day Charlie brings him up close to Springbonnie and... well, ‘83 happens. He goes comatose for a few months before they pull the plug. He goes on to posses Springbonnie(”Golden Bonnie”), though isn’t very in control of his powers. It’s hard to make Golden Bonnie walk, so... it just kinda shows up as visions instead. Still tries to make Swap!Henry pay... keyword tries. During the events of UCN, Sammy has full control of his powers. And he wants Swap!Henry. To pay.
Bonus- Swap!PG and Swap!Jeremy: PG still wears a hat to avoid eye contact- though also uses it to hide his 87 scar. It’s very hard for him to make friends but he loves the ones he has. Jeremy- well, is a redhead actually! He’s pretty loud and a liiiiittle bit of an asshole, but he would die for his friends. .... Well night 4 he does, but shh-
