Though you can find Swedish pastries and bread at other bakeries, Berolina Bakery might be the only Swedish bakery in Los Angeles. It’s not all Swedish but it’s mostly Swedish with other European bakery items. Berolina has loaves of bread (including Swedish rye), croissants, Danish, muffins, cones, cakes (including Princess cake), tarts, pies, cookies, quiche, etc. They have Swedish cinnamon buns, cardamom buns, cardamom strips, etc. Custom cakes are available. They also serve sandwiches, breakfast (including a Scandinavian breakfast), salads, soups, and kids meals.
The baked goods in the cases were not labeled and I didn’t see pricing, except for the breakfast items, sandwiches, salads, and soups.
Cinnamon bun ($3.15): A big bun with lots of cinnamon and pearl sugar. It’s different because it has no icing or frosting. The edges were a bit dry but the inner part was moist.
Rustic baguette ($3.10): Pretty good with a light, crispy exterior, very chewy. Tasted great when toasted.
I was impressed by how many people were sitting on their outside patio. It’s a popular bakery tucked away in Sparr Heights.
Online ordering is available from their website. Cash is not accepted. They have a rewards program.

It was my birthday earlier this month! Of course, I wanted to eat my favourite cake: prinsesstårta. Luckily, you can find pretty much anything in London, so I went to Bageriet and enjoyed a slice with a friend. It was a happy birthday indeed.
