Bought this lovely Swedish Helsinge Lamb fleece from @fossilfibers, who even kindly washed it for me so it could be imported into Australia (don’t mess with biosecurity kids!).

Helsinge is a heritage breed with a double coat fleece. I’ve never worked with a double coat before & had to teach myself how to separate tog (outer coat) from the thel (inner insulating coat). Being a lamb, the coats are really close but I have managed to get some lovely cloud of thel (left basket) and some shiny tog sliver (right). Now to comb the rest…

Yesterday morning we got the first frost in Sjömarken and I have started using my lovely wrist warmers.I had to hurry to take advantage of my geraniums that were still out there.

Over the years I have created a small collection wrist warmers and scarf that is matching.
