Bought this lovely Swedish Helsinge Lamb fleece from @fossilfibers, who even kindly washed it for me so it could be imported into Australia (don’t mess with biosecurity kids!).
Helsinge is a heritage breed with a double coat fleece. I’ve never worked with a double coat before & had to teach myself how to separate tog (outer coat) from the thel (inner insulating coat). Being a lamb, the coats are really close but I have managed to get some lovely cloud of thel (left basket) and some shiny tog sliver (right). Now to comb the rest…
