38. FIRST AID KIT
The Swedish folk/americana duo First Aid Kit is a pretty well-known band formed by sisters Johanna & Klara Söderberg. Having recently gone on hiatus (even prior to the worldwide virus) due to exhaustive international touring (particularly for Klara; Vocalist & Guitarist of the band; Johanna on Keys & Bass).
I totally have to say it still weirds me out hearing this band’s music in department stores and shopping malls. Granted it does make sense considering they went from an online sensation (doing covers and such) to internationally-acclaimed professional touring musicians. And more power to them. Their music is soulfully well-written and perfectly-executed. I recall the first time I saw this particular set - I was Totally impressed by how poetically heartfelt & honest their music sounds.
This band deserves all of their praise & accolades. I certainly hope that despite their hiatus they can come back (God-willing when circumstances allow) having been well-rested to share their beautiful sound & enormous hearts with each song they sing. Absolutely AWESOME!
