Tonight I finally got to see the show that got me into musical theatre 10 years ago! I was tearing up when they started becausd I couldn’t believe I was actually see a production of Sweeney Todd (especially in NYC)! Not only that, but I couldn’t ask for a more perfect production, every choice they made was amazing! I was honestly left speechless by the end. If I could, I’d see it at least 10 more times (& am gonna try to come back before May to see it at least once more)

JUST A LITTLE MORE ABOUT SWEENEY TODD

After the performance I was able to get some show merchandise.  But EVEN BETTER, I GOT THE ACTORS’ SIGNATURES!!!!  I unfortunately missed the amazing actress who played the Beggar Woman/Adolfo Pirelli (@staciebono).  She was killer funny.  I even got to have a little conversation with two of the actors.  They are such amazing people, doing what I hope to do professionally some day.  Afterwards, my ice cream craving was eating at me, so I went around the corner from the Barrow Street Theater and got a Vanilla Chocolate twist cone from the Big Gay Ice Cream Shop.  The ice cream was way better than the stuff near Queens College...sorry...not sorry.😂

I was lucky enough to see @mattfdoyle perform in @sweeneytoddnyc an amazing 14 times! I can't get to NYC frequently enough to see @aclockworkplay that many but I'll fit it in as often as can in October, December and January. Okay, if you haven't seen @sweeneytoddnyc yet, RUN. It was hands-down the best production of Sweeney I've ever seen and I can't seem to shut up about how much I love it. Norm is leaving next weekend and I'm SO glad I got to see him absolutely kill this role...pun intended! I was totally immersed and engrossed from beginning to end even though I was all the way in the back corner where they didn't even interact with me. 8 actors, a 3-piece pit, and an incredible night of theatre. Hugh Panaro Will Be Next Demon Barber in SWEENEY TODD; New Cast Announced!

Producers of the Tooting Arts Club production of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street are pleased to announce that Hugh Panaro (as Sweeney Todd) with Jake Boyd (as Anthony), Eryn LeCroy (as Johanna), Michael James Leslie (as Judge Turpin) and John Rapson (as The Beadle) will join the cast.
