prompt: lazy rainy sunday domestiel. for @sweet-destiel. I wrote you motel snuggling. <3

Dean stirs at the click of the motel door. It’s Sam's turn to get coffee. Sure enough, the car starts like a heartbeat and Dean catches a few notes of Metallica before Sam cuts the music and backs out of the space. Two days ago, Dean caught him flirting with the convenience store clerk, which means they have fifteen minutes to themselves (twenty if they’re lucky) before he's bribing them out of bed with donuts.

Rain started during the night and is coming down hard, pouring off the second-floor balcony into the parking lot. They won't be able to do much besides research in this weather, certainly not charge through a swamp in search of spectral black dogs--though the diner where they had breakfast yesterday advertised prime rib on Sundays starting at three, so the day wouldn’t be a total bust.

They fell asleep facing one another but drifted during the night. Dean’s on his side facing the door, right arm numb beneath him. With a grunt, he rolls over. Cas is flat on his back, mouth open and lightly snoring. Dean curls into his side, nosing the column of his throat although his stubble rasps Dean’s skin. He smells good in the morning, the same way he always does, but it’s deeply concentrated in the sheets. Dean breathes. His arm has turned to pins and needles. He throws it over Cas’s chest and a leg over his ankles to prevent escape, knowing full well that in the first few seconds after Cas wakes, he’ll hold Dean so tightly it will be difficult to move.

Humidity teases the odor of old cigarettes from the walls and carpet. He ought to switch on the air but doesn’t move, doesn’t open his eyes. The dismal mattress sags in the middle. His neck and shoulder ache from two nights on it and the sheets are a cheap poly blend grown scratchy with time, but he has fifteen minutes to lie uninterrupted with Cas in this bed and he never wants to get up.

Donald Trump is visiting Vermont in the near future. There's been a post going around Facebook saying that, because tickets are free, you should buy a few and then just not show up. There's another saying to show up in Feel The Bern shirts. Imagine how amazing it would be if only one person showed up, and they were wearing a Bernie Sanders shirt!
