The sweetness of apples combined with a crispy, fried coating makes these apple fritters a delectable treat. They are excellent as a dessert or for breakfast.
Ingredients: 2 cups all-purpose flour. 1/2 cup granulated sugar. 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder. 1 teaspoon salt. 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon. 2 large eggs. 3/4 cup whole milk. 2 cups diced apples peeled and cored. Vegetable oil for frying. Confectioners' sugar for dusting. 1/2 cup powdered sugar. 1-2 tablespoons milk. 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract.
Instructions: Mix the flour, baking powder, salt, ground cinnamon, and granulated sugar in a big bowl. Beat the eggs and add the whole milk in a separate bowl. Blend thoroughly. Stirring until just combined, gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients. Add the diced apples and fold. About 2 inches of vegetable oil should be heated in a large, deep skillet over medium-high heat to 350 degrees Fahrenheit 175 degrees Celsius. Spoonfuls of the apple fritter batter should be dropped into the heated oil and fried in batches for two to three minutes on each side, or until they are thoroughly cooked and golden brown. Using a slotted spoon, remove the fritters from the oil and drain on paper towels. To make a glaze, combine the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract in a small bowl. After giving the warm apple fritters a drizzle of glaze, sprinkle them with powdered sugar. Enjoy the warm apple fritters after serving!
