NEW•RELIGIEUSE • Religieuse is a French pastry made of two Choux pastry cases, one larger than the other, filled with crème pâtissière, most commonly chocolate or mocha flavour. Each case is covered in a ganache of the same flavor as the filling, and then joined decorated with piped buttercream frosting. • The pastry, whose name means "nun", is supposed to represent the papal mitre. • Religieuse used the sans mes recipe of éclair except for its presentation. • 📸 @maisonpepinlyon gives the Religieuse a modern twist strawberry rhubarb with a crusty and crunchy texture. • • • • • #frenchpastry #pâtisseriepépin #eatdessertfirst #snapbeforeeat #eatwithme #sweettooth #sweetfeed #eeeeeats #girleatsworld #gallivantingpalate #icheckfood #ichecktravel #foodandtravel #travelandeat #foodstory #foodstuffs #eatcaptureshare #wellnesstravel #wellnesseating #bbcfood #huffposttaste #religieusefraiserhubarbe #patisseriefrançaise #pechemignon #yummytreat #rhubarb #strawberry #pateachoux #chouxpastry #foodofaffections https://www.instagram.com/p/B2mvOAFnWme/?igshid=y9cklb1uyp2q
