Good Mornthing! World, we have saved you! We saved you so good. <3 The drive last night was marvelously uneventful, and I landed at Secret Agent Loverman's at a reasonable hour. We proceeded to keep each other up until an unreasonable hour, and then slept really well. I had killer awesome dreams all night, until right before I woke up at which point I had a nightmare that I woke up, checked my email, and found that the University had been monitoring me with keystroke software and that I was being let go because of many instances of misuse of Institution resources plus foul language. WTF, brain? That was a shitty thing to do. In an odd way, it made the waking up all the nicer, because I woke up into a world where none of that was true, and my cheek was mashed against a pillow in SALM's bed, and everything was nice and just the right temperature, and I could hear him and DaughterGirl talking as DG flitted in and out of the kitchen while he worked up a breakfast of bacon and eggs and biscuits. NOMS! He asked me what I want to do today, since we have some rare time to ourselves in the offing - DG is going to a friend's house for a birthday overnight (she's giving the girl a tiny pine tree in a pot she decorated, with artfully placed colored stones and tiny figurines littering the dirt). I codfished at him, and shrugged. When he gets back, though, I'm going to float at him a version of that "fun date idea" thing that I saw on my dash the other day; I'm going to suggest that we hit up the bookstore for a book each, then stop somewhere for food, and go to the Arboretum with the blanket from my trunk and flop in the grass in the partly-cloudy 72-degree afternoon and nibble things and read until we're ready to go save the world again. Or maybe something else entirely. Maybe Age of Ultron? Maybe something in the city? IDK, Blisstopia - got any suggestions for a kidless date-day? :D Right now I am happily enjoying internetting in my PJs with coffee at hand. I've been spoiled, though - the cold brew was SO GOOD. Hey. Hi. <3
Good mornthing! First of May! posts link to gloriously NSFW JoCo video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O-77ElyvRxI Also, first Mornthing crosspost from G+ to the Tumblrverse! Blame voidbat. Not only is it the perfect day to post one of my favorites of Jonathan Coulton’s songs, it is also, as an email reminded me, the anniversary of joining a particular website. It's a bulletin board-style site for written roleplay, including adult themes away from which most RP sites shy. I joined in 2007, and found a community that I could connect to in a way that I hadn't been able to do offline for a while due to reasons that I prefer to not discuss in this post. I met some really amazing people there who continue to be incredibly important parts of my life today (several of whom can see this. Hello, placewiththestuff people. I <3 you). Not only is the site responsible for helping me find people who kept me generally sane, but it's also the place that allowed me to develop and improve my writing - thousands of words a day, pretty much daily for years on end, in multiple storylines with a variety of characters. A ridiculous number of words per day, honestly - I think if ever I'd used my site wordcount for NaNoWriMo, I would have blown the challenge away. 8 awesome years later... wow. I've got some stories I need to go post to there. >.> It is Friday! And things are weirdy quiet on the homefront. The Spawn are enschoolenated, and my parents are envacationated. I literally have the house to myself all day. No chores except what I set myself. No interruptions. It's like I'm a really really grownup. I am, therefore, trying to sort through the options before me to figure out what to do today. These options include: - nap - bath - laundry - rearrange bedroom - write chapter thesis - write short story - knit and watch Fringe - plant garlic Hmm. Hi. <3
Hey look voidbat I found that picture from your family reunion!
