So, apparently I can’t send messages either. Fine, if posts are my only means of communication here, I’ll rewrite what I said in my reply that wasn’t sent and then in the message that wasn’t sent either, and say it to anyone and everyone (especially new Tumblr users) that’s hesitating posting their old or less refined art here:
Don’t worry about it! This is Tumblr! Nothing gets outdated here. People post rough sketches, memes and shitposts all the time and no one will blame you for spamming your own art. People are used to such “spam” and expect it here. People can and will also use the search function to dig through your old art.
The one thing you can do is to tag your posts - both to make them discoverable now and in the years to come, and to allow anyone that gets overwhelmed or simply doesn’t want to see the thing to mute the tag.
There is no need to apologize or feel bad about posting art you made here - even if you “spam” all of it at once. This is Tumblr. Embrace the fact that this is a trash site where artists are free! :D
