It pains me to do this but I feel it’s important for my experience with @swevenfox​ to be made public to inform the community of my experience with them as an artist. I have tried on numerous occasions to rectify the issue privately but have not received any communication from them whatsoever in months; and now feel swevenfox has no intention of delivering the service I paid for.

In these cases I feel it’s important that the information be made public, so if the artist decides to open up commissions again in future, people can make an informed decision about whether to work with them or not. Details under the cut: 

TL;DR I paid for a commission and have received no art, and no communication from swevenfox for 5 months now, despite numerous attempts to contact them via several different platforms/email addresses

Swevenfox opened up avatar commissions on June 1st 2020. I contacted them and paid for my invoice on June 2nd. At this time I was told that commissions would take a little longer due to the pandemic (totally understandable), and I could expect to wait 3-4 weeks for my commission.

I contacted them again on 10th July to ask for an update; swevenfox informed me that things were still running behind due to an issue with their scanner, but they would finish my commission as soon as they were able. I told them there was no rush and that I just wanted to keep up to date with how things were progressing.

By 28th September, I still had no art and no further communications from swevenfox despite some activity on other social media. I just emailed to ask how things were going.

29th November - still no art or any response to my emails. I contacted them again asking, once again, for an update as it had been 4 months of radio silence. After receiving no response to this, I attempted to file a paypal claim which was regrettably declined due to being over the time limit in which claims can be made.

As of today, I have still received no art, no communication and no refund from swevenfox. There is a certain degree of trust required in commissioning an artist online and I feel my trust that they would eventually deliver what was promised has been taken advantage of. I’ve rarely had issues commissioning artists before now, and so didn’t feel it necessary to start beginning paypal procedures earlier and I am now out of pocket because of this.
