Taylor has hit songs called “Shake It Off” and “You Need To Calm Down.” She is utterly incapable of shaking it off, calming down, finding closure, skipping the conversation, forgetting you existed, or making a long story short. If she endorses one of these things in a song, you can bet your left lung she will break her own rule thirty seconds into the next song. Just like Paul McCartney, who sings “Let It Be” when he has never let anything be.
