Baby Cameron: Bo?
warnings- warnings- obx stuff, Rafe, WARD (hate him), child abandonment (not from Rafe), single dad Rafe, let me know what else I’m sure there’s more.
Wovey woke up from her nap and her big blue eyes stared up at her fathers matching ones, making a happy smile and gurgle come from her mouth.
“Aw, hi, baby girl,” Rafe smiled, heart melting at his daughter. He picked her up, trying to ignore the pain in his arm from the fresh burn that he hasn’t been able to wrap yet. “Did you have a good nap?”
Wovey didn’t respond, instead she clung to her father, and buried her face in his neck, sucking on her pacifier.
“Aw, you’re still tired, aren’t you little princess?”
Wovey looked back up at him with her big blue eyes, then down to his arms that were holding her. She was quick to notice the big red mark on his arm and spit out her pacie, pointing to the burn.
“Bo?” She let out, looking up at Rafe, making his heart melt.
“I’m okay, baby girl.” Rafe cooed, kissing her head, trying not to let the tears fall. “I’m okay. Daddy’s okay. I love your big heart baby, but you don’t have to worry about me. Let Daddy worry about you okay, my little love?”

“I swear I learned my lesson, okay?” Rafe asked, as Ward pulled up to Barry’s that night, after Rafe put Wovey to bed.
“Stay in the car,” Ward ordered, gettijng out of the car, after getting the money out of his pocket.
Rafe watched as Ward took care of Barry, but the second he started fighting him Rafe got out of the car to watch.
“I told you to stay in the car,” Ward growled, walking up to the car “Get your bike.”
“I’ll pay you back.”
“No, Rafe,” Ward let out, stopping in his tracks, looking back at his son. “You won’t. You know why you won’t?” He asked, walking up to Rafe, as Rafe walked backwards. “Because you’re a liar. And you’re a thief. And you cannot be trusted. And I can’t have that in my house, son. Don’t come home.”
Rafe felt his heart break as Ward started to walk away.
“Where do you want us to go?” Rafe asked, making Ward walk back up to him.
“Us?” Ward asked. “There is no ‘us’. Are you talking about Wovey? Wovey’s gone, son. You screwed up, and now she’s going away.”
“No!” Rafe cried, tears threatening to spill. “Please no. That’s my baby girl. You can’t take her away from me. Please, Dad. I”ll be better. I’ll get better for her. Please, I’m all she has, Dad.”
“You have seven days,” Ward let out. “If you don’t get it together by then, then you can kiss your daughter goodbye.”
🌊💰🌊
“Da-ah!” Wovey screamed the next day. She’s been screaming the whole day without Rafe there. She knew something wasn’t right, her daddy was always there for her.
“Oh, my gosh, will someone shut her up?” Rose ordered rolling her eyes, as Wovey’s cries carried throughout the whole house.
“She needs her dad,” Wheezie tried to explain.
“No, what she needs is a stable family,” Ward cut in. “And Rafe can’t give that to her.” “What do you mean?” Wheezie asked, fear in her eyes, as she looked up at her dad.
“Look, Wheeze,” Ward sighed, sitting down next to her, as Wovey cried in her arms. “I know this is gonna be hard to hear, but Rafe isn’t that good of a guy, and that’s not good for Wovey. Wovey needs someone that can properly take care of her. “So you’re just going to send her away?” Wheezie asked, tears in her eyes.
“Not yet.” Ward let out, as Wovey screamed again. “Why don’t you take her outside to get some fresh air?”
“Okay,” Wheezie, let out. She closed the door, and turned around to find Top and Kelce. “Rafe’s not here.”
“What do you mean?” Topper asked.
“I don’t know,” Wheezie explained. “I think my dad like kicked him out or something.”
“And left Wovey here?” Kelce asked.
“O?” Wovey hiccuped, looking up at her uncle with her red and puffy tear stained face. “Ec?”
“Oh, you poor thing!” Kelce let out, taking Wovey from Wheezie.
“Da-ah,” Wovey cried into his neck.
“She’s been crying for him all morning, driving my family insane.”
“We’ll take her for now. Give you guys a break.”
“Thank you.”
🌊💰🌊
“Do you know who’s here, Wovey?” Topper asked, as Kelce pulled up to the country club.
They walked in, and Wovey’s eyes lit up when she saw her dad.
“Da-ah!” She screamed in Kelce’s arms, reaching out for her dad.
Rafe heard the familiar sound, and looked up to see his baby girl. He felt his heart break, and tears come when he saw how red her face was.
Rafe went running to her and scooped her up in his arms, peppering her face in kisses as he held her tight.
“Oh, my baby girl, I’m so sorry,” he explained, wiping a tear off of her face, ignoring the ones that are surely falling on his. “I’m so sorry. Daddy had no choice. I didn’t want to leave you baby. Daddy just has to stay away from Grandpa for a bit. Sh sh. It’s okay my little love. Don’t cry. Daddy loves you. He’s never gonna leave like your mother did.”
“Uh, can you put this on Cameron, Ward? Cameron, W-A-R-D?” Rafe asked, ordering a drink while Wovey rested in the baby carrier on his chest, as Rafe kept one hand firmly on her, she put hers on top of his. “Thank you. You’re the best.”
“Hey, bro,” Kelce started. “You think you-know-who, they’re scronking yet?”
“Shut your-“ Top started.
“Hey,” Kelce cheered.
“What’s that sound?” Rafe asked, getting ready to throw the bean bag in cornhole. “What’s that? They’re making that sound.”
“You think I wanna hear this right now?” Topper asked.
“Come on,” Rafe let out, one hand still firmly on Wovey to reassure her that he’s there.
“Why not?” Kelce asked.
“I’m trying to get my mind off of it,” Topper explained, knocking Rafe’s bean bag down mind toss. “You think I want to hear this now, Rafe?”
“Calm down,” Kelce stated.
“We’re trying to make you feel better,” Rafe explained, walking up to Topper.
“It’s not funny. How is it funny?”
“This joke’s on her,” Rafe explained, putting his free hand on Topper’s shoulder, as Wovey wrapped her tiny hand around Rafe’s pinky. “Look who she’s with.”
“Who’s that?”
“And after that, she’s,” Rafe was cut off by the sound of Barry getting out of his car.
“Rafe Cameron,” Barry called.
Rafe grew tense and he quickly worked to get Wovey into Kelce’s arms, making her fuss. “I know. I’m sorry baby. I love you,” he explained, kissing her head once she was safely in Kelce’s arms.
“Get over here,” Barry called.
“Okay, let’s go,” Rafe explained, walking over to him. “Hey,” he let out, wrapping an arm around his shoulder, pulling him away from the club. “What are you doing, man? You good?”
“No, I ain’t good, man.”
“All right, what—“
“Why’s your family think I’m just some person they can crap on? First your dad kneecaps me in my house.”
“You got your money,” Rafe explained, taking a quick glance at Wovey to make sure she was okay. “You got your money.”
“That ain’t the point!” Barry ordered. “I’m asking you, what am I? Am I just some little witch? Is that what your family looks at me like?”
“No. No.”
“No! No!” Barry laughed. “Okay, so then why is your little sister and her little surf rat friends running around stealing 25k out of my house? Can you tell me that?”
“My little sister robbed you”
“Yeah, Sarah robbed me. That’s why I’m here.”
“She won’t pick a dollar up off the street. What are you talking about?”
“Do I look dumb? You think I don’t understand what’s goin’ on here? ‘Cause I’m telling you right now, you better sort this out with your sister or else I am. ‘Cause I want my money.”
“Listen-“ Rafe cut in, trying to keep his tone even, worried about his daughter who was now crying in Kelce’s arms. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“You don’t know?”
“Enlighten me.”
“Enlighten you?”
“Yes.”
“The Pogues are all around Outer Banks stealin’ crap out of everybody’s house…”
“What?”
“… and you got no idea? Your sister’s involved in it.”
“Sarah Cameron, home invader?” Rafe asked, putting his hand on Barry’s shoulder. “You know how stupid—“
Rafe was cut off by Barry yanking him away to fight making Wovey scream and cry.
“How many times I gotta deal with you?” Barry asked, as Topper got in between them. “That’s 25K! What’s up, Country Club?”
“We’re good!” Topper yelled.
“Da-ah!” Wovey yelled, kicking and screaming in Kelce’s tight grip, as Rafe stood, looking at the burn on his arm.
“I’m okay, baby girl,” Rafe explained, taking her from Kelce’s arms.
“Da-h, bo,” Wovey let out, gently touching the burn on Rafe’s arm as Barry and Top fought.
“I’m okay baby girl,” Rafe breathed, kissing her head.
“Stand down!” Barry ordered, looking over to Rafe who was soothing his baby girl and started laughing, making Rafe glare at him, and protectively angling Wovey away from Barry as he walked over to him. “Who would have thought? Rafe Cameron a softy?”
“Stay away from my daughter,” Rafe growled. “She’s done nothing wrong.”
“All right then spurt this out with your sister.”
“All right! Okay. It’s cool.”
“I’mma get my money.”
“Yes, of course.”
“If it’s not from you, it’s from her. Remember that. I’ll see you boys around.” Barry called, going back to his car.
“Da-ah!” Wovey sobbed, clinging to his shirt.
“I know, I know,” Rafe cooed, gently bouncing her up and down as he kissed her head. “I know he scared you, but Daddy is never ever going to let him hurt you. Okay my little princess? Daddy loves you.”
“Hey, what the hell is goin’ on?” Topper asked, as Wovey started to clam in her fathers arms as he gingerly bounced her and placed kisses on her head.
“I don’t know, man.”
“No, no, no,” Topper explained. “This guy’s nuts. What are you gonna do?”
“Nothin’.” Rafe explained, patting Wovey’s back. “It’s not my problem.”
“That’s Sarah you’re talking about. What are you gonna do?”
“All right,” Rafe sighed, moving Wovey to look him in the eyes. “Wovey girl, you gotta go back home okay? I love you and miss you, but right now you gotta go with Uncle Kelce back home. I promise you that Daddy’s gonna get his stuff together soon though, okay? And then you can see me everyday again. I love you so much, my sweet baby girl.”
