A Playful Christmas at Fazbear's
William and Henry are busy trying to set up the Christmas decorations at Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria. The boys get a little silly while decorating, which leads to an unusual and...surprisingly wholesome confession from Henry.
It's almost Christmas! WOO HOO! For anyone wondering, Yes! I did watch the FNAF 2 movie, and I LOVED IT! Dusk (my bf) can confirm I was literally stimming on the way to the theater, squealing in my seat during the movie, and wouldn't shut up about the movie on the bus ride home. The callbacks to the games and the memes were ENDLESS! And getting to see the stories previously shown in pixelated form, FINALLY getting brought to life THROUGH THE MOVIE?! It was like I walked into a candy shop and got an insane sugar rush! I just could not be contained (Much to Dusk's amusement...)!
This fanfiction takes place in the FNAF Movie universe, long before Charlotte's death. So when you're reading it, imagine Matthew Lillard and Skeet Ulrich messing around in the first pizzeria. It'll make things more fun for you, as it did for me. I hope you all enjoy, and MERRY CHRISTMAS ONE AND ALL!!!
Henry and William had been busy almost all day, trying to put up Christmas decorations around the main room of Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria. William had been hanging up the lights against the wall, and around the front stage where the animatronics usually performed. Meanwhile, Henry was putting up the christmas tree and wrapping tinsel around it.
“Hey Will?” Henry spoke up.
“Hold on-” William climbed down the ladder and looked at him. “Yeah?”
Henry handed him one side of the tinsel. “Can you throw this up with me?” Henry asked.
William raised an eyebrow with a smirk. “Throw it up…Like rope?” He asked.
“Yeah.” Henry held onto the other side. “If we gave it some extra motion, we might be able to get it higher.” He explained.
William rolled his eyes with a laugh. “I could just grab the ladder, you know.” Will reminded him.
“Well yeah, but…This is more fun.” Henry admitted.
William sighed and readied his arm. “Fine.” He looked up at the tree. “One…Two…”
“Three!” Henry and William threw the tinsel up to a tree branch, and watched as it miraculously landed on one of the high branches. The rest of the tinsel dangled down like a looping rope, leaving William with the rest of the tinsel.
“Wow…” William looked down at the tinsel, and smiled. “I’m surprised that worked!” He reacted.
Henry smirked and nudged his friend. “Now why would you doubt me?” He asked.
William rolled his eyes and threw some more of the tinsel onto the tree. The tinsel landed on a slightly shorter branch, but still worked itself inside the branch enough to keep it secure. William smiled a little brighter and handed Henry another piece of the tinsel. “Care to help with the rest, tinsel master?” He asked. Henry laughed a little bit and grabbed the tinsel. “Okay.” He readied his hand. “One…Two-”
“Whoa whoa-” William adjusted himself more. “Give me a minute to get ready first!” He reacted.
“Oh come on, I thought you were ready!” Henry reacted.
“Did I look ready?!” William asked.
“Yeah!” Henry responded.
William chuckled and adjusted himself one more time. “Alright, I’m ready.”
“Okay. One…Two…Three!” Henry threw it up alongside William, and watched as the tinsel clipped slightly onto a tiny branch…only to fall down. “Fuck…” He muttered.
“One more time?” Will asked.
Henry snickered. “What happened to Mr. ‘Grab the latter’ Afton?” Henry asked.
“Oh, easy.” William fixed his hair and adjusted his arm. “You became a genius.” He responded. “On three.” William spoke up.
“One…” Henry started.
“Two…” William said next. “Three!” Henry yelled before throwing it up. William threw it up at the same time, allowing the tinsel to soar up to a branch. The tinsel landed onto a secure branch, allowing the rest of the tinsel to loop like the first one.
“Perfect!” William declared.
“You got into this quick.” Henry said with a smirk. “So what if I did?” Will asked.
Henry put his hands up in defense. “Nothing, just…I’m enjoying the moment.”
William smiled at him for a few moments, before looking down at his watch. “Okay. About 3 more hours until we gotta head home. Think we can get this humongous tree done before then?” He asked.
Henry raised an eyebrow. “Depends on how fast you can put up the rest of the Christmas lights.” He mentioned.
“What do you mean? I have them-” William started looking around the room, and quickly noticed only half the job was done. “...Oh. Right.” William cleared his throat and fixed his glasses. “I’ll get to it.” He responded.
Henry chuckled and walked up to a box. “Good.” He opened the box and rummaged around in it for a moment. “Think fast:” Henry threw something at him, landing it right onto Will’s face.
William grunted and took the red thing off his face. “What the hell, dude?” He looked down at the piece of cloth with white faux fur. It was a christmas hat…A rather old one, at that.
“What? Not feeling festive enough?” Henry teased.
William rolled his eyes and put it onto his head. “Didn’t know feeling festive meant hauling shit at people.” Will mentioned, adjusting the hat. As he pulled the back of the hat towards his neck, he felt something rip off the fabric. He brought his hand forward, raising an eyebrow at the clump of fake fur in his hand. “Where did you get this? It’s old as shit.” William asked.
“My grandma donated a bunch of Christmas decorations. I tried to tell her the hats were rubbish, but she insisted they were “Just fiiiine!”.” Henry’s voice changed to a traditional Grandma voice when quoting her.
William wheezed and bursted out laughing. “I’m sorry, your Grandma?!” William cackled. “Let me guess, let me guess: She made it while your Grandpa was fighting in the battle of Narvik.” He joked.
Henry raised his eyebrows. Did he seriously just make that joke?! “I-” He paused for a moment. “So what if she did?! At least my grandpa didn’t try to be buddy-buddy with Germany, of all places.” Henry shot back.
“At least my ancestors actually won their battle.” William teased.
Henry sighed and shook his head. “You’re a dick, you know that?” Henry muttered aloud.
“Yeah, I know…” William chuckled.
“You could stand to lose the attitude before the day’s over.” Henry warned him as he grabbed some ornaments.
Will paused. “And you could stand to lose the grumpiness, Mr. Grinch.” William shot back with a smirk as he picked up more lights. “Right back at ya, Mr. Scrooge.” Henry shot back.
William chuckled and put on his best Mr. Scrooge impression. “BaH hUmBuG!” He said in a growly voice. “The story would be so much different if I was Scrooge.” William joked.
“Yeah. forget the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future.” Henry mentioned. “You’d have the Ghosts of Christmas Pest, Christmas Coal, and Christmas Failure.” Henry muttered.
William turned to him with shock. “Jeeesus, Henry! Who ruined your Christmas last night?!” Henry asked.
“Hmmmm…” Henry smirked as he put more ornaments onto the tree. “I wonder…” He kept saying. He reached his arms high, to try and hang more ornaments.
…Only for Henry to feel something poke his side. Henry yelped and pulled his arms down, dropping the ornaments in the process.
“Whoops!” Someone caught the falling ornaments and chuckled, waving them towards him. “My bad! I forgot how ticklish you are!” William reacted, clearly faking his sympathetic tone.
Henry rolled his eyes and crossed his arms. “Was that really necessary?” He asked.
“I mean, you did call me Scrooge.” William mentioned.
Henry chuckled. “Last I checked, Scrooge doesn’t tickle people.” Henry tried to take the ornaments.
“Nooo…” William put them back into the decoration box. “But last I checked, he does get his Christmas spirit back.” William teased, before poking his side.
“Will, don’t!” Henry warned. “I’m working.”
“Oh, NOW look who’s being a grumpy ol’ scrooge?” William teased.
“Are you even done hanging the li-” Henry looked around, and widened his eyes as he saw the lights hung up perfectly around the pizzeria. They’d only been working for 10 minutes! And Will’s already done?! “How in the hell did-”
“Boop!” William poked his side again.
“aAH-!” Henry grabbed his sides and glared at Will, who was now laughing at him. “Why?!”
“Cause it’s funny!” William reacted.
“Quit being a dick!” Henry yelled at him.
Will slowly walked closer to his friend. “I’ll quit being a dick…” He stood 2 feet away from Henry’s face. “The moment YOU…” He grabbed his shoulder. “-Stop being a grouch.” He scratched his fingers against his upper ribs.
Henry wheezed and doubled over, clenching his arm against his sides. “Duhude stop!” Henry tried to push him away…But William only took advantage of it and tickled both his lower sides. “AahaHAHA!” He jumped and backed up slightly. “Ssstahap- Wihihill stahap!” It had only been a few seconds, and Henry was already struggling to stay on his feet.
“Are you done being a grumpy ol’ grouch now?” Will asked him.
Henry’s body veered to the left to try and get out of his grip. “Hehehe- Yehes! Yehehes!” Henry responded.
“Good.” William smiled and brought his arms back.
Henry took in a few breaths and cleared his throat before staring at Will. “Why tickling, of all things?”
Will chuckled. “Cause it works!” He responded.
“Yeah…” He adjusted his shirt. “A little too well.”
“Too well?” Will raised an eyebrow with a smirk. “What’s ‘too well’ supposed to mean?” He asked.
Henry sighed and walked to the box. “You know what I mean.”
William chuckled and walked to the decoration box as well. “Care to explain?” He asked, pulling out a couple ornaments.
Henry grabbed some ornaments and put them onto the tree. “I don’t think I really need to.” He admitted.
“Well, maybe not…” Will put up a couple ornaments. “But maybe I want you to?”
Henry sighed and grabbed more ornaments. “Let’s just say…It’s kinda funny seeing how childish you can get.” He admitted with a small smile.
William blinked with surprise for a moment…Before looking at Henry. “Really?”
“Yeah. You almost never get childish or playful, unless it’s in front of your kids.” Henry admitted. “Your kids talk about it all the time.” He admitted.
William raised his eyebrows. “I…” He stared at him. “Wait wait wait…” William crossed his hands with a shocked smirk. “Are you…jealous?” He asked.
“Jealous? Or your kids?! No! I’m glad you’re playful with your kids!” Henry tried to explain. “But sometimes…” Henry chuckled and scratched the back of his head. “You’re too serious around me.”
William snorted and chuckled. “Serious?” He clarified.
“Well, yeah.” Henry admitted. “You rarely let loose.”
William’s smirk was slowly building, the longer Henry tried to explain himself. “Uh huh…” He sing-songed.
“You’re always acting mature and serious around me, only really cracking jokes.” Henry admitted.
William snickered quietly as he let Henry dig his own grave further down.
“Which- I like the jokes, they are really funny. But…” Henry tried to think of what else to say. “Uhhh…”
“You want me…to be more playful?” William tried to sum up his words.
“Well…Only if you want to, like I’m not gonna make you do anything you don’t want…mostly cause it’ll come off as forced and awkward if you do that…” Henry was still trying to beat around the bush. “But I mean-” Henry paused for a moment and covered his eyes with his hands. “I don’t know…I like when you’re playful, and I want to-” Henry squealed and jumped as he felt two pairs of fingers against his sides.
“Sorry, what was that?” Will declared as he dug his fingers into his side. “Couldn’t hear that last part. Could you repeat it for me?” He asked playfully.
“aAHAhahaha! Ihihi sahahaid- Ihihi wahahant to seehee it mohohohore-” He gasped and arched his back. “aAHA! NO-DON-DON-DON- WIHIHILL DOHOHOHON’T!”
“Oh, I’m sorry! Were you talking?” Will teased. “My sincerest apologies!” Will moved his fingers up to his ribs. “Pleeease continue.”
“IHIHIHI- IHIHI CAHAHAN’T!” Henry could feel his knees buckling under him. “IHI’MGONNAFAHALL-”
William grunted as he caught his friend. “I gotcha.” Will spoke up. He gently laid Henry down to the ground and made sure he was okay. “You alright?”
“Hehehe- Ihi’m fine.” Henry reassured him. “I’m good, don’t worry abohOHOHOHOUT IHIHIT!” Henry wheezed and squealed, kicking his legs slightly. “Goood, gooood.” He chuckled as his fingers slowly trailed up to his armpits.
“HAHAhahaha! Hahahaha-” He snorted and squeaked, shaking his head. “Yohohohou’re bruhuhutahahal!” Henry reacted.
William wheezed. “Whahat?!” He dug his nimble fingers into the spaces between the higher ribs. “The hell do you mean ‘brutal’?!” William started poking his fingers between the third and fourth spaces of his ribs. “Isn’t this what you wanted?” Will asked.
“YEHEHEHES!” Henry yelled, rolling onto his left.
“Then what are you even complaining about?!” Will asked.
“HAhaha-” He wheezed and somehow managed to curl himself up more. “KKkkkhahahahaha!” He laughed, kicking his feet slightly.
“Oho, oh wait-” William pulled Henry onto his back and moved his hand up to his head. “Were you not expecting this, or something?” William asked him.
“Ihihi dohon’t know whahat- WAHAHAIT- FAHACK!” Henry’s voice managed to go up a whole octave as he reached back for his neck. “EEEHEEHEEK! NAT THEHERE! PLEEEHEEHEEHEEASE!” Henry snorted.
William chuckled and went for his armpit with his other hand.
Henry’s hands immediately fell down as he tried to cover up his armpits. “NAHAHAHA! YOU DIHIHIHICK!” He shouted.
“Ohoho! I’m a dick now?!” William reacted. “Last I checked, you were all like ‘YoU’rE tOo SeRiOuS! YoU’rE nEvEr ChILdIsH aRoUnD mE!’” William used a silly high voice to represent Henry. “But now you’re calling me a dick for being childish! Make up your mind, dude!” William reacted.
Henry was too busy snorting and laughing quite high-pitched to properly answer.
“What? Did you have a moment of regret?” William asked, starting to laugh at himself. “Did you really think I’d just drop it?! I’ve wanted to be playful with you for ages now! But I was too nervous, because of how serious YOU are!” William admitted.
Henry was still squealing and giggling, kicking his feet somewhat wildly by this point. “WIHIHIHILL PLEEEHEHEHEHEEEASE!” He started begging.
Will chuckled and stopped tickling him. “Alright, alright. There you go. You can breathe now.” He told him.
Henry took in several breaths and rubbed the back of his neck. Giggles would sometimes come out as he tried to breathe, rendering his breathing somewhat useless.
William was staring at Henry as he tried to recover. “Is that what you wanted?” He asked. “Or was that a little too much for Mr. Giggles over here?” He asked next.
William was expecting a half-ass comment or a couple more giggles from his friend. If anything, he wasn’t expecting much of a response at all! Henry was still trying to make up for the loss of oxygen during the tickle fight.
But what he did NOT expect…Was to be pulled down to the ground by him.
“Lihisten here, Will.” Henry warned him. “You’re playful as shit…I’ll give you that.” He told him. “But don’t think for a second…that you’re getting out of this without getting anything back.” He warned.
William smirked and crossed his arms. “Alright, fine. Try me.” He responded.
“Gladly.” Henry declared. Eager to get him cackling, Henry immediately went for his hips, catching William off guard.
“Wahait- WHAHAHAT?!” William wheezed and snorted, cackling almost immediately. “FUHUHUCK! HOHOHOW-”
“Oh right: How did I know?” Henry asked. “Well…Let’s just say, Michael sucks at keeping secrets.” Henry declared.
“SHIHIHIHIT!” William’s confidence had been thrown right out the window the moment Michael was mentioned. Dammit! Why did Michael have to sell him out like that?!
In spite of the silly banter and tickle fights, Henry and Will DID end up getting the place decorated. But…they did have to stay an extra half an hour later than they expected…
