I unboxed these cuties yesterday instead of going food shopping (it was raining, hard). They're old stock, so just needed a light clean. Their hair still feels kinda oily but maybe it's the fibre?
100 Days of Dolls 013: Flora Starr, Bratzillaz Switch-A-Witch
back - next
This yellow/white Switch-A-Witch is from wave 2- the main difference from the first wave is the symbols each doll has on their face on once side, flowers, stars, etc. I thought it gave her a very mod-ish, flower-child 60s look, and I was in the middle of a huge We Happy Few kick when I got her, so I ran with it.
I think her hair is the perfect color, and her eyes, though simpler than a lot of the other SaW eye patterns, really fit with her kaleidoscopic, trippy theme.
I really question the judgement of whoever it was that decided to make a line of dolls with interchangeable, switchable parts, and then NOT MAKE THEM THE SAME SIZE. Flora’s yellow leg and arm are longer than her white one. She has to throw these crazy, cocked-hip poses in order to stand, which is kind of perfect for her character and look, but awful if you are trying to display her.
100 Days of Dolls 034: Colombina Tati, Green/Pink Switch-a-Witch (Bratzillaz)
back - next
I was looking through Ebay at Monster High lots and I noticed this seller had included a pink/white Bratzillaz Switch-a-Witch as part of a bundle of five other MH dolls. I really didn’t need any of the other dolls for my collection, so I contacted the seller, told them what she was, and asked if I could just purchase her seperately, and they agreed :D
She’s amazing. I threw together this outfit because she only came with her shoes and skirt and no wig, and she happened to fit this Hairdorables baseball cap. I am aware it looks sort of ridiculous but I also think it works?? Her color scheme is so extra anyway that the only way to style her is to take it even MORE over the top.
I’ve named her Mira Doppel. As with most Bratzillaz, my favorite part about her is her amazing eyes. Her irides are golden with black spirals and light yellow flowers that have stars in the middle.
(I had to look up the plural of iris because I had absolutely no idea.)
There were two waves of the Switch-a-Witch line. The first wave included the pink/green, black/white and yellow/white Witches. Mimi is from the second wave, which also included a blue/white and another yellow/white Witch (who was different from Wave 1 because of her blue eyes and the star around her eye on the white side.)
Another Bratzillaz Switch-a-Witch combo. They are too much fun :)
