EX4: Alter your Course Often
Oftentimes I get overwhelmingly bored with the mundaneness of life. Everything is routine. The same thing. Everyday. In order to combat this, I often alter my course, and here’s what I mean by that: I’ll take different paths on my way to and from classes, I’ll change up the roads I drive to places I go everyday--switching up between new and random backroads every couple of drives. I’ve even altered my major, and ultimately my career path and dreams several times. For instance, my freshman year of college I went to Blinn with the intention to transfer into A&M as a visualization major the following Fall. I wanted to study graphic design, video game making, and animation; however, plans changed when I realized I’d have to take engineering calculus 1 and 2, as well as physics. If it tells you anything about the major I’m in right now, which is English, I’m not very good at math. In fact, I’m absolutely terrible. For example, I’m in the easiest math class right now and I'm struggling with it each and every day. So, as you can assume, my dream of working for Pixar suddenly drifted further and further away. Luckily though, I have lots of dreams! As of right now, and pretty much for my entire life, I’ve wanted to become a children’s writer and illustrator. I’m very passionate about writing and art, so this job is the perfect combination for me and my creative mind. In addition to this, I plan to be a high school english teacher, so I can have a steady paycheck and write books on the side as more of a hobby (obviously with the hope that they will eventually take off and go big time). Anyways, life is more exciting when things are constantly changing. I’m sure my path will change a lot more during my lifetime, but I’m excited to see where it takes me. If you do the same exact things each and everyday, life starts to kind of lose its effect and become dull. So, change your path, alter your course, excite yourself, and let life lead you wherever it might take you!
Feel Good Friday! First you have to feel good to look good and good things will happen! This time I switched it up a little and tried something new.
