stories: books you remember from your childhood?

A lot of the books Bel read as a child were for learning purposes. A prince has to be well-informed if he’s ever to represent his kingdom or become king. It’s for this reason that he’s pretty well educated and was able to meet the seven language requirement to join the Varia when he was eight-years-old.

However, the books that stand out the most to Bel are the fairy tales he read as a kid. Specifically, those focusing on princes. In these tales, they were often portrayed as heroic. The charming prince would come in to save the princess. The princes might wed a common girl and bring her out of her tragic background into the life of luxury. The common portrayal was just that: a heroic lover. It certainly comes across as a joke to this prince, a sadomasochistic killer.

Then lo and behold, the infamous criminal minded Rokudou Mukuro turned a lot younger, young enough to make his face look a lot baby like and round, curious but solemn big eyes, and small hands that even made his rings and gloves fall off of his hands.

He threw on more illusions on himself to have his clothes ‘shrink with him’ but his clothes were vacant, unfortunately. He went to put those away when he bumped into an adult and he fell. He saw silver/grey hair, and that was where he realized, he bumped into Squalo.

But his baby self didn’t let him continue thinking as he started to cry because it hurt.
