Senta is my swordmage, and she has a...fraught history with alchemists. Someone else's alchemist says she isn't going to blow the party up this time, she promises.
The Swordmage. These elementally-attuned warriors weave arcane magic alongside fire-forged steel, raining waves of destruction from the windswept skies to the depths of the earth.
Despite the existence of Artificers, Bladesingers, Eldritch Knights, Bladesingers, and so many more sword-slinging caster subclasses, there's long been an itch for something a bit closer to the fantasy of an arcane swordsman, wielding mastery of spells and swords in equal measure. And it shows! There's been a million iterations of Spellblades and Maguses. So we can have one more. As a treat.
There's too many images, too much artwork, too much Swordmage to fit into one post. So there's links in the document itself. In the reblogs.

New DnD character artwork. I'll never draw that kaftan again. It's final x_X
Marijn (playing Winnifred): Winnifred is a kalashtar but is currently passing himself off as a human because it's safer.
DM: You're a party of goddamn weirdos. Turning heads everywhere you go. Why do I always get the weird ones?
Marijn: Yeah, I'm probably the most normal-looking one in the party. I carry a ten-string harp on my back and I collect stories from adventurers. I don't write my own stories, I just retell others. And I definitely don't sing. I've also taken a level in swordmage.
Adam (playing Harriet): So you're not just carrying a harp.
Marijn: No. I also have a spellsword.
Adam: Sexy.
The storm howled and lashed at the ship, her crewmembers rushing here-and-there as another wave rose and crashed across the deck, swamping them all up to their knees and nearly sweeping them away altogether. Fighting to keep his feet, Killian’s attention was all for the fin cutting through the surf on a collision course with the ship’s port bow until the captain thrust a spear towards him and asked, “Need one of these, or you got some magic shit?” A smile pulled at the corner of the swordmage’s mouth in spite of the approaching horror as he turned towards the gunwale and drew his sword, arcane energy crackling along its length. “Magic shit,” Killian answered in a voice far calmer than he felt.
