16 hour shift at the hospital wasn’t new with mia but what was definitely shocking was that she forgot her keys inside of the apartment. her roommate had her boyfriend over and knew that it was going to be hours until she checks her phone and finally let her in. she was so close to calling the building’s attendant but thought otherwise because it’ll be dent to her paycheck. on the floor, slumped over, and hands nursing her sleepy head. she heard someone speak up and the next thing she knew she was staring at her neighbor who she had the longest crush on. “sorry?” ( @swords-before-words​ )

There was something about today that just didn’t go right. Everything went wrong during service today and despite the good food she knows she placed out for the critic there was something that made her anxious. The servers kept hovering and doing things wrong but what pissed her off the most was the ingredients she ordered didn’t come on time. Today wasn’t her day and she needed a break from everything hence why she was driving to a tunnel that went through a hill. A place full of happy memories that she wished she could relive again. It reminded her of the good ol’ days but more so a particular person she missed dearly. Atherese figured that she would have moved on from the fact they just dropped off from the face of the earth but as she got out of her car and approached the their place. She felt a pang on her chest, “Didn’t think I’ll still miss you until now.” She muttered more to herself until she heard something. ( @swords-before-words​ )

Usually when Tommy’s head gets filled with all kinds of thoughts he would then find himself at this quant little dinner. It was always open which makes him wonder how on earth could the people still have the energy to even run this establishment. He was right outside the broken neon sign of Tony’s where it annoyingly flash it’s red and bright light. It gave it some kind of character in his opinion but it was still a pest in his eyes. The next thing he knew he was in his usual booth with his laptop opened and his notes on his next book. A cup of coffee on his table and little to none people. They were all just minding their business and so was he until someone caught his attention. He hadn’t seen them around before and wondered what was their deal. Probably lost their way or just looking to rest. He just couldn’t stop staring which was rude in itself but something’s different. ( @swords-before-words​ )
