News had spread throughout the court that an old manor had been discovered near the border of Bruma, and rumor had it that some of the thanes were eyeing the place once the bandits were clear but little did they know Fae already had claim to the property. An old vacation home that had been in his family for a few generations left abandoned after, well, the massacre that happened over a century ago. 

He remembered that there were a few precious family heirlooms left there, some older than the house itself, and these things simply couldn’t fall into the wrong hands. Not that they were powerful or anything but they held sentimental value. He needed help, he needed someone who could sneak in while he distracted the occupants there, and luckily he knew just the person. 

He sits at his desk that very night, writing by candlelight.

Dear Selina, 

I hope this letter finds you because I require your help immediately. 

I’m sure by now you’ve heard by now of the grand manor in Falkreath hold. It used to belong to my family but I’m afraid that it’s been overrun by bandits. 

I would usually charge in but there’s too many precious things in there to risk that. I’m in need of a companion with a particular skillset which you happen to possess. If you help me I promise you the rewards will be unimaginable.

It takes him a few hours but he finally finds a courier, all he has to do now is wait for a response.

    ❝ if i have to, ❞ she speaks matter-of-factly, the smile on her face hardly translating to her eyes as she stared back at the redhead.      the mead hall stood vacant throughout most of the day, and while selina had frequented jorrvaskr on many an occasion, njada couldn’t help but remain on the defense, for there was always an ulterior motive afoot when regarding the rats of riften. while the thief had wormed her way into the hearts of a handful of her companions, njada ensured to remain vigilant should she present any trouble within their own hallowed halls.      the end of her dagger finds home upon the table amongst a few abandoned plates of bread and cheese, the action of piercing wood far more aggressive that one might intend, but hoping she’d get the message across.      with a tilt of her head, njada motions for selina to sit across from her, leaning back in her chair. ❝ i assume you’re waiting on farkas, soren, or vilkas. i’ll be happy to keep you company. i’m sure you understand. ❞

            “ you don't say.” his tone makes no suggestion that is incorrect, in fact it is laced with agreement that may almost come off as exasperation. large hands sort through the sack that had magically appeared on the mares rear, the thrashing contents catching his attention as they rode their way out into the rift and were graced by the thicket of nightfall. it was disgruntled sounds that had caught his keen ears and left his heavy brow to drop as his gaze appraised sel’s calm demeanor. he’d drawn his own stead to a halt and lofted himself off the sturdy creature, a pat provided to her thick neck. as he approached the back of her own horse did she break her calm, the inquiry of what he was after echoing into the night air as his hands hefted the sack off the animals rear and dropped it to the dirt below. 

           he could feel her hands tug at his arm before he paused in his actions, green gaze turning to her with lofted brows as he spoke. “ what is in this sack that is so precious you would not let me see? unless it is something you dont want me to see. “ another tug at his arms before a soft underlying threat is laid upon the ground and farkas could only feel the corner of his lips quirk, a large hand raised in mock defense. “ i am going to open this sack regardless of what outcome it leaves for me, simply because whatever or whomever is in this sack -- need to breath.” her excuse had strung together perfectly, that her ways and his ways were utterly different and that the companions and the thieves guild would have vastly opposing opinions. not see eye to eye? it made him chuckle and rebuttle without pause. 

          hands release the sack and the very knotted rope that held it close gaped at the lose of tension, a few seconds passed slowly by before the head of a pig poked from within the burlap. farkas’ brows raised before his green eyes turned to stare at selena, voice incredulous. “ You stole a pig? a pig?”
