Sydney hostage may have been injured by police: Report
Investigations are reportedly underway into whether one of the hostages in the Sydney siege was injured by a police bullet. It is believed one of the wounded hostages was injured by a bullet ricochet rather than a blast from the shotgun held by Haron Monis, according to The Australian. At 2:03am on Dec 16th, reporters covering the harrowing Sydney siege in Martin Place heard a jolting sound. Seven minutes later, there was another identical loud bang. Accounts of many reporters near the scene suggest it could have been a shot being fired by the gunman. It is unclear at this stage which hostage is believed to have been hit by the police bullet.
When he first entered the cafe his stress levels would have been through the roof, his heart rate would have been at around 120bpm or higher. But when it all settled, he would have gone into a slump. And just before the sun comes up is when people really tire.
