The Syil
Called Meer Deer by most humans.
These creatures are nocturnal and are have a full 360 degree range of sight.
They are quite skittish and known to be hard to catch. There Is a folktale Na’vi tell of a young hunter who became obsessed with a red skinned Syil, something that had never been seen before. The elders told her to let It go, since she had started to neglect her duties, but she did not listen. After a long time she found the creature again, and hunted after It for three days and nights. She was exhausted and had traveled far from home, but only then did she realise that she had been so obsessed with catching It that she had become lost. She never caught the Syil and never came home.
Her obsession had consumed her.
Sorry, normally I don’t talk this much In these, but I really like the story of the red skinned Syil.
