I've always had this little idea in my mind of how the incident went down.
It's a calm winter morning. Practically a picture on a Christmas card. Flurries, snow all over the ground, people wearing festive clothing, etc.
Zianna and Sylvanna (Aphmau's mom) are sitting on a bench in the park. Vylad, who's maybe 3-4 years old, is being rocked back in forth in his stroller by Zianna.
Zane and Aphmau, who are likely 5-6 years old, are making a snowman, who's very short because they can't build that high yet.
Garroth, who might be around 8-9 years old, is bored out of his skull. So, he decides to start a snowball fight, which Zane and Aphmau happily join in.
Everyone's laughing, everyone's happy.
Then, Garroth has an idea to give him a temporary advantage in the snowball fight. He decides to put a rock in a snowball and throw it at Zane's hand to stop him from making and throwing snowballs.
However, instead of hitting Zane's hand, he hits Zane straight in his eye.
Zianna and Sylvanna didn't notice at first due to talking with each other. Then, one of them notices that Aphmau is shaking Zane, who's now on the floor writhing, and Garroth is staring at their direction with concern.
Sylvanna takes over watching Vylad so Zianna can see what happened. As she gets closer, she realizes that Zane is hyperventilating and crying while clutching his hand over his right eye. After a few tries, she finally gets him to move his hand, only to be met with a rapidly swelling, bloody eye and a visibly broken or bruised socket.
Immediately, the kids are all packed in the car in a rushed panic. Garroth is quietly breaking down in the backseat, Vylad is confused and slightly overwhelmed in his car seat, and Zane is being consoled by Zianna on her lap in the passenger seat as Sylvanna drives as fast but as safely as she can to the nearest ER.
