spent the whole day working on this but I’m pretty proud of it!! based on the dr3 opening (same music n all) and a lot of the stuff is shot for shot from that opening, buuut I added my own spin to things too hehe

Here's an interesting piece of MCD worldbuilding to consider!
MCD and Mystreet most likely take place in the same timeline. This would mean that emeralds hold the same significance in MCD as they do in Mystreet, meaning they have the capabilities to have strong magical properties.
So, what would this mean for weapons made out of emerald, say... Laurance's swords? Are weapons like these highly sought after, especially by witches, warlocks, shamans, and imps? Is getting attacked with one of these weapons more dangerous/fatal? Do they give the wielder an advantage over their opponent in any way? Do the forever potion properties show up in any way with weapons such as these? So much potential...
A recent headcanon/rewrite ig of mine is that Laurance stays blind and never gets his sight restored, only in Shadow Knight form can he see (thats not the headcanon tho). But with his emerald swords, he can basically see through them while fighting, like not literally, as if his eyes were on them

And know where to hit and his swords distance in relation to others. A bit like echo location? But not uhh ryxcdyjyfruyze IM STILL FIGURING IT OUT. The hard part tho is not accidentally engaging in friendly fire
So say hes fighting with Aphmau against some bad guys, she makes sure to talk enough or quip often mid fight so he knows where she is. And Garroth just like announces his presence like some form of super serious marco polo
I havent really came up with a reason why theyre enchanted or who did it. But whoever did used emerald because while not powerful on its own, its a very powerful ingredient when combined with magic!
So anyhoo

something abt vylad knowing from the beginning that that’s irene and keeping it a secret bc hyria said so but the old devotion from his upbringing in o’khasis can’t help but bleed through in their interactions even if aphmau is unaware. maybe thats why he’s so quick to remind her of his terrible deeds and how he’s not a good person, he can’t let the matron think he is without sin.
