Revas

How I feel about this character: Revas is such a fun character, narratively.  He’s such an asshole that it’s always so fun to see stuff about him!  n_n  I do like how he grows through his time during Inquisition though, and I like how he changes his opinions on humans and stuff.  He becomes less of an asshole without fully…uh…letting go of his asshole-ishness, which I think is fun.  n_n

All the people I ship romantically with this character: Well, Dorian of course, and then my own Traesa of course and I don’t know if a relationship between him and @thereluctantinquisitor‘s Nyvera was a thing, but if it was, I also support that.  :)

My non-romantic OTP for this character: I’m 100% here for Revas’s broship with @courtneysupertramp‘s Oswin, and then his sibling type relationship with your twins is just adorable.  :D

My unpopular opinion about this character: He says shem wayyyy too often for someone who ends up falling in love with a shem like c’mooon Revas.  :)

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: Ahhhh, I like a lot of his narrative, but I kinda hope he has a moment where he like fully realizes that his racism against humans is pretty wrong?  I don’t know if he already has that, but I hope he does.

How I feel about this character: She’s a great character omg.  n_n  She’s so sweet and nice, and I like how she has a bit of a temper underneath it all!  :D

All the people I ship romantically with this character: Well, Solas of course, and I haven’t seen her with anyone else but I’m quite sure she’d be cute with anyone.  n_n

My non-romantic OTP for this character: Her relationship with Myra and Revas is very sweet, and of course I love the idea of her and Traesa as friends.  :)

My unpopular opinion about this character: Ahh…I don’t know that I have any?  I really like her as a character <3  :)

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: I just hope that Sylvi’s okay post-trespasser.  ):  The whole thing with Solas is pretty heartbreaking, so I just hope she’s doing alright without her sister to lean on.

Traesa: I sense dinner around the campfire is about to get a lot more awkward.  Well, fuck Revas, of course –  the Creators gave him that tongue to make up for the shit that comes out of his mouth the rest of the time – marry Bookworm, since she’d probably wander off somewhere and die if I didn’t keep an eye on her, and kill Trouble as a favor to the Keeper because I’ve got no other choice.

33 - Bull+Inqy

“Please don’t do this.” - Iron Bull x Sylvi Lavellan

Sylvi lay pinned on the cold, hard ground, the Iron Bull looming over them, holding them pinned underneath himself with just his body weight; not that it mattered much if he did, Sylvi was drained by the running and battling the Qunari and fighting to keep the Anchor from completely consuming them. Their breaths were shallow and labored, each one feeling like fire in their parched throat, and the pain was so blinding their eyes couldn’t seem to focus on anything.

It took every little bit of what energy Sylvi had left to just barely form a coherent sentence. “Bull…” they gasped, finally managing to focus their black eyes on their lover long enough to see him unsheathe his massive greatsword, holding it steady by his side. “Bull, please…. don’t do this.”

The Iron Bull reached down, his big hand cupping their face with an uncharacteristic gentleness, his thumb wiping away a tear that trickled down cheek. “I'm sorry, Kadan…” he replied, his voice low and hoarse as he moved his hand away from their cheek and tightly gripped their left arm. “I have to.”

“No, Bull, don’t!” Sylvi protested weakly, desperately trying to get free from the Qunari. “No, please, don’t, don’t do this, don’t! Cassandra, please!” They turned their eyes to their other companions, but couldn’t make out more than shadows standing around the two of them. “Cole, help me!”

“If I don’t…” Bull just barely managed to get out as he readied his sword above Sylvi’s arm, the mark glowing brighter and brighter with each moment that passed. “The Anchor will kill you.”

I’ve been as okay as one could be, surrounded by so manyshems. It was daunting at first. Especially before Oswin reached me. Nobody wasthere for a short while to hold me back from biting Chantry Sister’s heads off.Luckily I managed on my own. It has been easier since being named Inquisitorand reaching Skyhold. Which, by the way, you have to come see! There’s elvenmagic seeping out of the walls of this place. Truly it is amazing!

Look at you, still worrying about me! Yes, I have managed aregular meal schedule. Sleep is a little harder to find lately, but not for anyreason I’m complaining about. There happens to be a bald, scholarly elf whokeeps me up most nights. So I’d say I’m being treated very well. His name is Solas and he communes with spirits so I knowyou two would get along when I finally drag you and your sister here for avisit.

Oswin is well, though he was in bad shape when he firstreached me at Haven. Leave it to him to get battered and forego medical care.Luckily Solas helped me patch him up, though, he has a rather large scar leftover to tell the tale. I still haven’t let him live that one down.

Oh Creators curse me that ball was the worst place I’ve everhad to set foot Sylvi! Halaamshiral was meant to be our home, our newbeginning. Instead these shems built an empire on our backs and now we servewine and cheese at their meaningless parties. If I could’ve set fire to thebuilding, I would have. The entire place reeked of superiority complex. Oswinhad fun though, I think he ended three men’s lordships and made at least twogroups of ladies physically swoon. He’salways better than me at finding fun in these situations. I managed to keepCelene on the throne, and reunite her with her elven lover, Briala. Lelianatold me their relationship was all sorts of unhealthy, but I really couldn’tbring myself to care. The world is on the edge of a knife, I’m fighting demonsdaily, and this empire is falling apart at the seams. Does it really seem likeI give a flying fuck whether or not the shem Empress’s relationship is goingwell? No, of course I don’t! Shem logic is weird Sylvi. I miss having you andMyra around, you two and Oz are my anchors to reality. Though you can tellMyra, the dancing is quite enjoyable, even if it is much more restrained thanour dancing. It’s even better if you have the right partner, I never thought aman who wonders the woods would be a talented ballroom dancer but I’ve beenwrong before.

I am so sorry that these rumors keep spreading, you and Iboth know the brunt of the Keeper’s loose lips. It’s not right, and I wish Iwas back home to follow you around in wolf form and scare those spinelessassholes away like I used to. You know the drill though, ignore and keep trueto yourself. You are stronger than them, and you are worth more. But I’m surethese are things Myra has beat me to saying.

Staying safe is a hard thing to do in my position, but youknow me, I’m not having fun unless I’m ripping something to shreds. Okay that’snot totally true but I think if I convince myself it is fun, it’ll be trueeventually. Nothing says ‘good time’ like the constant smell of someone else’sblood all over you. Especially demon blood, er ichor, whatever you want to callit.

I am sending money with this message, make sure it’s allaccounted for. It is for the three of you to make your way here. It has beentoo long without you, Oz and I miss you. Oswin says it’s time for him and Revasto show Skyhold what real archers look like, whatever that means. My father isalso here, and you know how much fun he is. Really, the nobles have learned toavoid him like the blight!

These notes you’ve sent are fascinating! I’ve been goingover them all night and I need to know where you found these runes! And allthis information on the fade is wonderful and I hope you were careful whenretrieving it!  PS: Oswin sent along one of his scarves for Revas to staywarm on the trip here, and I sent along two handmade staffs for the both ofyou. You can pick them up at the small village north of Wycome. The one whereyou and I got drunk in the tavern, and Revas and Oz had to drag us out beforewe got kicked out. I didn’t want to risk the Keeper taking them from you.

She’s decent around her clan, and Revas of course, but around humans she’s closed off and rather standoffish. She just doesn’t like them.

4: Would your OC want to involve themselves in humanitarian work ? If yes, then for what? If not, then why not?

For elves, because she is one, and she is staunchly elfy.

7: Does your OC have any irrational phobias?

Honestly if she’s afraid of anything, then it/they should be afraid of her. She responds to fear with violence.

15: Does your OC consider themselves a good person?

She believes she is a vehicle for acts that protect goodness, but what she does--finding and killing humans who have mistreated elves--she knows to be bad deeds. She doesn’t think she’s a good person, because she enjoys what she does.

17: Does your OC suffer of any mental health issues?

Well.....I mean........I don’t think it’s too healthy to enjoy killing people.............

23: Does your OC tend to hide something about their personality/essence when meeting new people? If yes, what?

That she routinely delivers vigilante justice to humans for hurting elves? I’m pretty sure that’s something she keeps under wraps.

For the prompt thing: “You lied to me.” solas and lavellan?

Solas was quite possibly going to die.

It was bad enough that Corypheus was in possession of an ancient elven artifact with which he could rip apart the veil and bring, as the humans loved to repeat so often, “doom upon all the world.” It was bad enough that his friends were treated as tools and animals by the mindset of the present-day. It was even bad enough that he had to endure the presence of a Tevinter mage who would, for the love of all that was good and right, never cease to irritate the living daylights out of him.

No, he also had the misfortune of following, and even loving, a woman who so clearly had made it her goal to scare him to death every time she visited the rotunda.

He’d been sitting at his desk, enduring a cup of tea and reviewing his notes, when the Inquisitor had materialized next to him with an incredulous “You lied to me!”

Naturally he had inhaled his tea in utter terror, and had to wait for a fit of coughing to pass before he could sputter out, “I beg your pardon!”

Sylvi Lavellan sat on his desk and crossed her legs, her head titled inquisitively to the side. “This is the third morning I’ve caught you drinking tea, Solas. You said, and I quote, you ‘hated the stuff.’ You were either lying or you’ve suddenly grown a fondness for leaf-water.”

Solas set down his cup with a grimace. He’d had trouble shaking off his dreams again, although this time it was not for any concern over an enslaved spirit–he was simply plagued by the images of death and destruction of the physical world that the Fade was now mirroring, as it was wont to do. “I was not lying, vhenan. I simply found myself in need of something to wake me. I’m coming to realize I should have asked you to simply do the job instead, as I could not be further from sleep as I am now.” He shook his head. “Why do you feel the need to sneak in here as if you were hunting some elusive prey?”

“I don’t sneak, Solas. I walk, like anyone else. It’s not my fault you’re overly excitable.”

“I am not–” Solas began indignantly, and then realized he was about to do exactly what she had accused him of doing and lose his composure. He gathered his wits and quite calmly retorted, “You must admit, Inquisitor, you’re rather more quiet than the average resident of Skyhold.”

Sylvi shrugged, her dark locks shaking. “And you must admit, it would be entirely off-putting if I wasn’t, hm?” She smirked, and Solas would have been remiss not to notice how prettily the dimples in her cheeks stood out against her smooth skin.

“On the contrary,” Solas replied, one corner of his mouth curling upward. “Sometimes loudness can be quite satisfying.”

He was rewarded with a dusting of pink spreading across the Inquisitor’s lovely cheekbones. She would not meet his gaze, so he rose from his chair and took hold of her chin, angling her face toward him so he could kiss her, tasting her bottom lip with the tip of his tongue. He felt her hand come to rest on his abdomen, as she relaxed into him with a sigh.

“Was there something you needed, vhenan?” he asked quietly as he pulled back just a little, still close enough to feel her breath upon his mouth.

“I’ve quite forgotten,” she murmured. “How thoughtless of me…do that again?”

He complied.

I haven’t romanced Solas yet (if i ever manage to drag myself out of Cullen-hell that’s next on my list) but I do hope I captured the nuance of the romance with him well enough. This was surprisingly fun to write!

Thanks! I’ve been to London twice before but it’s like seven years since the last time so it’s probably changed a lot!

✢ : Physical advantageRevas: She may be tiny even for an elf, but Revas is sooo fast! That little woman can outrun most people and even some animals.Sylvi: Sylvi is really flexible and the things they can do with their body… Acrobats and gymnasts would be jealous! They can climb pretty much anything and in combat they seem to be all over the place and at the same time nowhere to be found.

✭ : An obscure interestRevas: Collecting leafs and other flora. Revas loves to explore places and whenever she finds a new place she brings back a flower or a leaf that she collects in a book and writes down her favorite thing about the place, or draws a small sketch to remember.Sylvi: Believe it or not, but Sylvi is really into embroidery. It’s something they find it enjoyable to just sit down and do to relax. Also don’t ever ask them to stitch up a wound for you because then you might end up with a tiny dick embroidery on your arm (Bull learned that the hard way) because they never ever do anything serious when they embroider.
