well my brain just invented the word “sympheric” for life forms that don’t fit into the categories of organic or mechanical, so feel free to use.

Example:

The sound creature from the Doctor Who audio Scherzo, who is made entirely out of sound.

could also apply to gaseous or celestial entities that don’t have what most would consider to be a physical form.

edit for more clarity:

Sympheric would specifically not apply to ghosts, since ghosts (usually) originally had a physical form. Sympheric beings would be ones that have always had a non-traditionally-regarded-as-physical, non-organic and non-mechanical form.
