Patience rewarded
This is one of the most curious movements of any symphony I know. It starts inconspicuously with someone just strumming a double bass (I presume) for some time, and then, around the three-minute mark, segues into one of the sweetest melodies in all of classical music, a moment that has actually been likened to "the appearance of Christ" (for those who believe in it).
