had a dream i met Oprah

while we were at a nigerian house party

and explained to her she's the reason i know representation matters.

as the only black girl in my class 11/13 elementary school years - she was the only black woman people knew.

so because i talked a certain way, was a journalism nerd & incredibly compassionate kids teasingly called me, "Oprah."

do you know what a flex it is to be called the richest woman on the western hemisphere?? (at the time she was)

i thanked her for telling her story so no one else would take it from her. for being an actress, show host and an author and not just staying behind the pen. and for being so damn good no one could ignore her.

she invited me to a filming on Wednesday at her studios.

Ordered my windshield today.

They don't have them in stock over here. So guess where it's coming from? Portland, Oregon. This isn't a coincidence. The guy said it would take about a week to get here. I was this close to telling him, "Nah fam. I'll just drive up there and go get it myself." It would be faster if I did it that way. It's not like I'm physically aching to be there or anything. I'm just trying to be efficient.
