I watched the SynderCut last night, and now all I can think about is Peter running so fast he reverses time in order to save everyone.

I find it ironic

That the people who talk most about gatekeeping in fandom are often the ones the most guilty. Referring mostly to the people whining about the SynderCut and the like. The way the haters react with ‘not muh superman’ and ‘Man of Murder!’ and ‘but muh batman using muh guns*!. Just... It just comes off as petty as shit.

*Oh but when Tim Burtton’s batman does it, it’s a-okay, because... reasons?

Not, because slow mo sequences are old hat now. Besides, Monica Rambeau is faster than Quicksilver, it would make more sense for her to have that sequence.

Slow mo sequences are 🔥 🔥 🔥 tho. With the right director, there are endless possibilities. Case in point, Joss Whedon’s Flash sequences vs Zack Snyder’s Flash sequences. Whedon’s Flash slowmo was very bland and unoriginal. Snyder, on the other hand, created an amazing and emotional sequence that shows how powerful speedsters can be.

I mean, everyone’s entitled to their opinion. It just doesn’t make sense to me to give Monica a sweet dreams sequence when it’s literally x-men peter maximoff’s entire brand.

Even if it’s just the one time, to officially confirm that yes it IS in fact x-men quicksilver in the MCU, and then they never do it again, it would be a smart move on marvel’s part.

And tbh, it would be better for them to come up with something unique for Monica and not just copy off another character. 😁
