It must be some sort of music fate that brought me to dutchkid, a London based alternative pop and electronica trio who just released their debut EP Empires recently. We quickly fell in love with the eight track release, and had an honestly hard time picking out a few favorites to highlight. In the end, we settled on lauding Wildflower, a sooty driving fusion of alt electronica and infectious pop, as well as Glow, replete with strapping funk and syncopated synths. You can also stream Hiding below, a RÜFÜS DU SOL meets Emmit Fenn like swooning concoction. Heck, why don’t you just dive into their full EP, here? We promise you won’t regret it. I have a feeling we’ll be hearing a lot more about dutchkid soon, and we’re very eager to learn more about the trio in the impending months.

It can’t be delayed anymore. We really must delve deep into the surreal and dreamy soundscape that is 지금(NOW) straight away. We’ve been keeping this one to ourselves for awhile now, but it’s high time we introduce you to Neon Bunny, if you aren’t already familiar with the Seoul-based electronic artist and her foggy swirling, diaphanous flowing synthpop and electronica. She takes cues from future bass and future trap to create her cottony fluorescent new song, a thoroughly intoxicating and sensually arresting experience. It’s obvious Asia is a hotbed of groundbreaking music activity these days, and artists of Korean heritage, including Neon Bunny and Yaeji, are making a mark in the electronic scene with their creative concoctions.
