silly sys updates for the day:
i woke up and came out to the front room to find simon and ozzie asleep on one of the couches. (this is not rare, and we've actually encouraged it as simon is understandably so incredibly lonely and touch starved and we all realized that him petting his new nonhuman sysmates is fun for all of us involved, and because ozzie is an honest to god lap dog, it's a win-win) but he woke up before she did, and just played the trapped victim for a good couple hours actually. she was laying very much on top of him, but she's not that heavy and he easily could have escaped without waking her.
when i commented, he made a big show of she was laying on his arm, so he was ~soooo trapped~. i jokingly asked him if the reason he's so impatient to be able to try out his prosthesis is bc then he'll have two hands to be able to pet us, he cracked the first smile he's had with us. he'd just woken up so I think it was an unguarded, sleepy reaction but still TuT
after he was freed when ozzie woke up, he was sitting at the breakfast bar with chief and delta, and i found this gif that is very much my other daughter, allie
i shared it with simon too because we're introducing him to animals he's never seen before, and he responds; "i wonder what that feels like"
so, being the chaos gremlin i am, call allie over, show her the gif, and tell her: "gettim!"
XD in her exuberance, she shoved him off his chair and continued for a good minute while he writhed around giggling. she did apologize for knocking him over and made sure she didnt hurt him.
then later he decided to take a swing at the hornet's nest and while sitting with duranos, wenduag, and i, turns to them and goes, "so, you've said you can relate to me with having done dark things in your past. you know mine, what're yours?"
he wasnt prepared for their stories xD not whatsoever. (though, not because any of the three's dark secrets are worse than any others; they're all on par, just in different ways)
after that, ozzie returned, scuttled up to simon, and makes the universal sign of "uppies? :3" she has not done this before xD and simon understandably replies, "well, i can try."
his physical therapy to strengthen his remaining arm must be going real well because he did in fact lift her! (again, she's not That heavy, but she's at least 50lb, and doing it with one arm.. but she's also sapient so can help herself up without scratching him to death) it looked very much like this xD
she was so happy XD she poked her head up high and stated "now i'm tall :3" (she's 4' 8" tall, for the record)
