Yes! The foreshadowing! The worldbuilding! OMG the worldbuilding. There were citations! The thing with the electromagnetic fields! It’s so cool and Siri is so fun, possibly naming him Siri was not the best choice considering that the iOS thing vastly eclipses blindsight in popularity, but he is just a character I enjoy a lot and he’s competent at social interaction but also built that competence in a sort of cargo-culting way, in that he was more imitating social norms than actually understanding interactions, and I think that’s really cool and interesting, and holy shit the way the thesis got revealed, wow, blew my mind, and the thing with the ai and the vampire, and the characters had backstories, and the way it used, like arc words/repeated phrases, yes
