The post about this got a little messy, delving into topics I didn't intend to visit, and I'm worried that the original point of the post was lost.
So, to reiterate:
Syscoursers
One of our own is in the hospital
Syscourse put them there
Here's your reminder that all of us-- pro and anti-- are real people behind the screen-- we have families, friends, hobbies, successes, failures, and a whole lot of fucking problems.
Don't lie, yes you do. Yeah, you too. And you.
Think before you post, roll the words over in your head.
Practice empathy (or ask someone in your system to help, I'm sick and fucking tired of hearing, "I'm low empathy," low empathy isn't a pass to being a dick, you know you're in the wrong, you just don't care, and hot take, that's even worse).
Be kind. Show compassion.
Think about the things you're saying to and about people, the things you reblog without even really reading.
Be true to yourself, are you just following the crowd or forging your own way and forming your own thoughts and opinions?
Share a fucking hug.
Be. Fucking. Better.
Whether we like it or not, we all exist in this shitty syscourse tumblr bubble together.
