level 1 — fragmented (symbol 1): lowest possible functionality, adaptability, and identity.
level 2 — fragmented (symbol 2): holds only a few things, with low functionality and adaptability.
level 3 — fragmented (symbol 3): limited in functionality and adaptability, little to no identity.
level 4 — partially formed (symbol 4): formed enough to have good functionality and adaptability, but still limited in identity.
level 5 — almost fully formed (symbol 5): good functionality and adaptability, with a good sense of identity, but not "fully complete" in some way.
level 6 — fully formed (symbol 6): high functionality and adaptability with a complex identity, generally considered "fully complete."
level 1–6 — fluctuating formation (symbol 7): being able to "resplit" or not front for extended periods to the point of being considered fragmented / dormant / fused, but having no noticeable changes from the previous level of functionality, adaptability, and identity when begining to front again. new names, pronouns, labels, sources, appearance, and more are possible during that time away from front.
level 1–6 — fluctuating formation (flag version): just showing how it is intended with a flag.
what does functionality / adaptability / identity mean in this context?
for us, functionality refers to the ability to do daily functions and responsibilities when in full front, like drink water, watch a show, clean, or even walk; adaptability refers to the ability to change one's focus from one activity or thought to another; identity refers to having any kind of concept of identity, like gender identity, interests, beliefs, or even personality. (identity in this context is different to sense of identity, which is in another post of ours.)

was going to share all the flags, but didn't know there was a 10 image limit on mobile, evil.
System host symbol (left) and Trauma holder symbol (right)
Made by Anonymous,
The designs concepts are as follows:
The sun represents the host being the most visible alter, associated with daytime due to it's job in day-to-day life and general visibility.
To contrast, a trauma holder is represented by the moon as they're usually less visible and more "in the dark". The clouds are to represent the dissociation that often comes with trauma holders.
These are made to match with the protector symbol made by the now deactivated humorsunbalanced (pictured below for archival purposes)
