if you are unaware (at least in recent versions) this song plays during the end poem after you’ve beat the dragon. holllly shit.

alpha is a cinematic medley of several iconic minecraft tracks (namely, 'minecraft', 'mice on venus', 'moog city', and 'sweden'). (don't get it confused with the OST album. alpha the song appears on the album volume beta but is a medley of volume alpha songs). the soundtrack for minecraft is intentionally designed such that it is able to fade into the background most of the time, except for when it accentuates focal player moments. (this might be why a lot of people claim songs tend to play more often at sunset or sunrise -- they don't, it's random. but i digress). therefore, the songs in minecraft might come to represent specific memories, unique to every players experience. a particular song might represent, to someone, the memory of building their first house. so, at the 'end' of the game, while the beautiful end poem (theendpoem.com <- go read it if you haven't) scrolls by, 'alpha' is the song that plays. 'alpha', which is a medley of those other songs, reminds the player of everything they've done to get this far. those same familiar songs, but with even more feeling and elaboration. this song is so beautiful it's made me cry more than once. the only thing this song could have against it is its length… but is that really such a drawback?

Jasmine was laying on the bed, her legs spread out as she stretched. The omega smiles into the sheets. They smelled just like him. Jasmine had recently found her alpha, the happiest day of her life. She knew he was hers, because of the fact that his scent had attracted her more than any scent she had smelled before. When she had been held by him, it made her feel safe and warm. Not to mention he clearly knew she was his, and was quick to become protective. 

Yet she wasn’t like most omegas. She hated it when he fought others for her. She could fight her battles. The woman hears a sound, and turns her head in the direction it came from. The sheets moving as she sat up. She wore a thin blue nightgown, and it did little to keep her warm. However that wasn’t as important to her as who was coming to her. A bright smile came onto her lips, and she gets up. “Where did you go? The bed was cold without you in it.” She told him, resting her hands on his arms as she looked up at him.

“dubu!” she calls, running after the little white pup, in denial that the designer leash snapped like string ( she’s so going to file a lawsuit. ) although a true dog person, sometimes she wishes for a slower, low maintenance pet. turtles would have done the job well if only they weren’t so ugly and un-cuddly.

 jisoo’s lungs struggle to filter oxygen by the time she catches up to dubu. her face is an embarrassing shade of red and her calves feel as if they’ve been set on fire. eyes zero in on an all too familiar tail and the object of his attention: an identical white maltese. she recognizes the girl’s uniform as her own school’s but has no recollection of who the other is. nonetheless, the prideful miss kim scoffs as she walks over to pick up her pet. “i guess you have a nice taste in dogs. mine’s cuter though,” stated matter of factly because kim jisoo despises being usurped.

This heat was bad. Normally his hand was enough, barely enough, to calm the fog that the heat brought. This time the heat needed, no demanded, an Alpha to soothe the raging fires. He sighed and dragged a hand down his face, bemoaning his fate. The prince... he was an alpha. A handsome one at that. The only mortal the thunder god considered near enough to be an equal.

He whimpered as he walked, thighs rubbing together as he walked; friction driving him mad. His hand was shaking as he rose it to knock on the door. The noise produced was softer than the thunderer normally made, but given the situation he didn't want to draw too much attention. "Your highness," he entreated, eyelashes brushing his cheeks as his eyes fluttered shut. "May I come in?"
