“I believe a word that can describe this is serendipitous,” Ichika comments as she leans into the mic, smiling more so at Emi than Yuxi, but she does her best to let her gaze shift for a moment to indicate that she does, in fact, include her co-host in the conversation. Truth be told, working more closely with Yuxi had become easier with every opportunity, but as always, there was still a wall that neither of them dared to cross. What could have been a friendship or a comfortable mutual respect was now nothing more than a very evident working relationship. Which was fine; realistically, there was no need for them to be best friends, but when it came to their public interactions, but especially those with others, a certain effort had to be put forth. “All three of us are currently living abroad, and the cultural norms are just different enough, though at this point, at least for myself, Korea for long enough that going home seems more like travel than coming back here. What do you both think?”
The fact that she’s more and more comfortable with Emi helps a good deal, she admits, though if she’s honest, this is the second time in recent memory that the younger woman has caught her in a somewhat awkward situation. However, with that in mind, Ichika attempts to smooth over her feelings as much as possible and smiles a bit too brightly at their guest. “Ah, I have a question,” she giggles softly, “is there a slightly more uncommon place you would like to travel? Paris, New York, and London are generally pretty universal, but are there any slightly less common cities or sights you’d like to visit?”
